- Paridhi, the flagship tech fest of these college conducted by the megatronix is an huge event where students outside the college participate largely . With huge sponsors , the prime money is huge. Robotics is the special event every student looks for
- The teachers are very much enthusiastic with sports like football and cricket. They help a lot in conducting mcl and msl.
Dislikes
- In departments like Civil and Mechanical, the teachers cannot give marks warm heartedly. They even give suppli in practicals without a second thought.
- The college doesn't have it's own playing ground which is sad.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The civil department is glorious. The quality of lab and faculty is excellent. The CSE , IT and ECE department students are lucky as they can score so good with minimal effort unlike civil and mechanical students. Caution money must be refunded as promised but that actually never happened in their history. Afterall 20k is a large sum of money. The college should have it's own playing ground. Overall it's good.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
80k is the annual course fee. 20k money deposit which will never be refunded. The flagship tech fest 'Paridhi' is very popular and big sponsorships are associated with it. The Meghnad Saha Soccer League and Meghand Saha Cricket League is also a huge event organized by the running students with the help of aluminis. Placement is overall good for IT , CSE and ECE. Civil department is famous of this college. The labs and workshops along with the faculty is excellent for Civil department. Fest and other cultural activities are often a part of the college. The teachers are very supportive and friendly. Library is excellent along with computer labs. The college doesn't have it's own playing ground but sports are given good priority with time. Total 4 lakh is the expected expense for btech students. In civil, metch can be done on Geo tech from this college .
Campus Life :
I was mainly associated with sports clubs. The college football team was just too good to be in. Rotaract club is very active in the college that does the community services. Tech fest 'Paridhi' is the main attraction for all the msitians. SARGAM is the cultural group of Msit. Extra curricular activities are very active in this college.
Admission :
According to my rank back then, I was determined to take civil engineering for which no other private college is better than Msit in Kolkata. That is the main reason why I choose meghnad Saha. There labs and workshops are excellent.
Faculty :
The number of faculty with respect to students is standard. Every department have enough faculties to conduct regular classes with discipline. Sahanur sir , our economics teacher is an exceptional personality around the college. He is more like a big brother who helps and motivates students with his evergreen personality. He is also a great batsman at his age. Alive sir, dewakar sir and lastly our placement cell head, Saibal sir is an exceptional personality. Hashim sir from civil department, our beloved Hod, he is a character who will always guide us like his own children. That man will always be respected by each and every students. Our English faculty teachers of BSH department are also very friendly with students. The exams are conducted in such a way, one cannot turn their head back and write something especially if the civil faculty gives guard. Internal marks are not given to their heart's content. Overall it's a College where only a serious student will get marks.
