  • Very strict dress code for both teachers and students
  • No hostel facilities available and separate blocks for science and other departments

Course Curriculum Overview :

Rehabilitation science main focuses on restoring health in individuals ( accident, tauma injury and persons with special needs), this college provides practical exposure like experiencing how individuals, with loco motor disability and blind, navigatw and interact. There are 2 internals each semester which makes it easier to prepare for semester exams. The main aspect the college could improve is the frequence of internship and placement.

Internships Opportunities :

At the end of second year I was given internship in Dr Chandrashekhar institute for speech and hearing. 30 hours of sign language session and our seniors were offered intership in diagnosis, treatment, intervention and monitoring aspects in hearing impairment section. At the end of 5th semester we were offered internship in St John's hospital which is a very well known hospital in bangalore, we were offered intership about general mental health and medicine.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

First year - around 35000 Second year -40000 Final year - 45000 Which includes management fees, academic fee and University fee, extra fee for internship (2000) There are various scholarships like SSP etc will be guided by designated staffs.

Campus Life :

Lecturers teach using ppts and case studies which makes studying more interesting. The library is available from 9 am to 4:30 pm, can borrow books related to syllabus, reference books and novels. There is no time limit to return the book but have to renew it every week or month ( I had borrowed a book called life span developmental psychology and abnormal psychology book for a year) The very active cell is NSS cell which even provides a camp for 1 week in remote areas which is filled with lots of fun and life experiences. My overall experience was good in this college.

Admission :

The admission process is very easy, the staffs will guide you with each step. I chose to join this college because it has BSC in psychology (it is pretty hard to find a college which provides bsc in psychology majority of colleges provide BA in psychology) and this college is pretty safe and strict+ police station is adjacent to this college so many parents feel very secure about their children. The staffs and management are very friendly with gaurdian/ parents, also very reliable for students who come from other state/country, they frequently keep checking on students if they adjust well.

Faculty :

Five main staffs and 5 skill development subject staffs for each department. Faculty and students relationship is well balanced, very professional as well as friendly. There are two internals and semester exam in each semester. The pass percentage is 98% and outstanding performance percentage is 45%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is designed good but the execution is not proper and they are not flexible with anything. They don't properly decide and set the time table. Exams do not have proper gap and it's really stressful.

Placement Experience:

There has been a lot of campus placement since the establishment of this college. Writting a cover letter and a CV for the companies we are intrested in, is a compulsory part of out curriculum. We are also made aware on the various sectors in relationship with our college for internships.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exams and our course are indeed difficult but the way it is been taught in our classes help us alot. For every core paper we have labs where we get to perform experiments after we are made to learn about it. The course offers wide range of knowledge not only focusing on the core idea

Remarks:

I like the College overall. It is quite fun, though in terms of strictness it feels like I haven’t left school at all. I wish to highlight the attendance issue though, I wish they could just chill. I can barely attend my grandfather’s 80th birthday because of their attendance issues.
