As it has Ragging free campus for that reason juniors can interact with seniors without feeling hesitation and ask for any kind of help.
every month there conducted lots of events , seminar where you can join and increase you knowledge in other fields.

College campus is beautiful but very small.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had got my admission in this college through my WBJEE rank in 2nd round counselling.before that i have checked lots of review from yotube, collegedunia and other social media platform.If the question comes why i choose IT stream then i would said my curiosity about any web site building.now i can say my choice is quite right. difference between two semester is approximately 5-6 months.

Class Size : 197Course Fees : INR 149150 per year

Internships Opportunities :

As i am now in 2nd year I have not got any internships cause i vane not explore the required things.Now i am focusing on learning more about programming and boosting my proficiency.And off course college is helping very much for that. As far as know ,from college you will be provided min 2 internship.

Placement Experience :

After 7th semester student become eligible for campus placements. from last 4-5 years our college's placement record has upgraded. Many reputated company line Amazon , cognizant, Infosys, IBM, tcs etc visit our college for giving the job opportunity to students. As per 2023 placement record 89% of students are placed.Average package is 5LPA. After getting degree i will go for m.tech study.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have purchased b.tech course in IT department. currently i am in 2nd year. In 1st you have to pay 78300+76575=154875,2nd year 76075+73075=149150 , in 3rd year 75075+73075=148075and in 4th year you have to pay 73575+74575=148150.Grand total is 600325 Admission fees(5000-one time), caution fees(10000-one time),registration fees,development fees , lab fees and the other compulsory charges are included. For west Bengal students are provided SVMCM scholarships of amount 60000 for 4 time(for regular b.tech student) if they are able to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Campus Life :

This is the point where we really enjoy our college life. For the new admission students there conducted a conduction program where the can interact with so many good influencer. There available so many club like sports , coding , science and technology, mathematics, art and design etc where you can join as per your interest. In every year there will conducted 2 fest one is tech fest and another is cultural fest where you could participate and enjoy. Also in every month there organised many events , seminar from where you can increase your knowledge.

Admission :

I had got my admission through my WBJEE rank . you can use your JEE main rank fro taking admission (if it fulfill the criteria). In first round of counselling i had got Techno International new town but i had appied for upgradation then in 2nd round i had got IT in This college and took admission.If you are able to make approx 30000 rank in WBJEE you could get IT stream.

Faculty :

our faculty members are very student friendly so if you have any kind of problem you can ask for help freely.In IT there are 10 members in faculty room. Obviously i love our IT faculties.in my opinion Shyamapriya ma'am, Neepa ma'am and Soumya sir are very good. If you attend all the lectures regularly then don't worry about the semester exam.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
