Dislikes

  • The college hostels were awful. Food was not so great, no WIFI even though they mentioned there is WIFI,
  • After 7 or 8 pm you will be asked to leave the grounds.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The courses are mapped in an adequete manner too. You will not be having any problem. You could be taking help from either faculty or the library which also contains books authored by the faculty to better fit the courses you are being taught than other books. You will be taught concepts and their execution in the labs. So to sum it up, that is as immersive as it can get.

Internships Opportunities :

There are numerous oppurtunities for internships for the students. There is a start up in the college it self or you can go for other companies too. You can work remote or site. You can take permission and go to office if needed. All i can say is software internships are easier to get compared to other branches core feilds which next to non existant.

Placement Experience :

College placements are something to talk about in this college. This college nails everything in that feild. It provides generous amount of oppurtunities to students, so there is nothing to worry about that. 3rd and 4th years are eligible to attend the college placements. 2nd years would probably be trained with mocks and such. The training and placement cell does a good job prepping the students before the interviews. Highest package would be around 43-45 lpa. Lowest would be around 2-3 lpa. Keep in mind that highest package will be like one person and many would be in the average range of 4-8 lpa. Almost all the people i know are in some company. placed and doing well.

Fees and Financial Aid :

First year - 120000 / year Second year - 100000 / year Third year - 100000 / year Fourth year - 100000 / year College hostel prices are near 80000 to 90000 depending on AC/ non AC. I personally preffered private hostels - better food and accomodations like wifi, washing machine, etc.

Campus Life :

Coming to the fun part of college, You will be having fests and annual events quite often, probably you will have something in each sem. Fests are fun , both technical aspects and non technical events are held. The campus is almost covered with greenary and trees, quite nice actually. You will have a few hangout places you can chill with your mates. The library is also generous in its own line, you will find everything and more needed for your courses. Sports is also a major part in this college, the ground consists of all the general sports, you will be having and indoor sports area too and Gym is available but it always filled and opened for only a few hours. The clubs and groups, or student unions are no less in this college. You can find your interests and find like minded people.

Hostel Facilities :

The only downside in this college are their hostels, make no mistake, they are well maintaind, cleanand hygenic but the food is awful and wifi situation is horrible. If you want to live comfortably, you can go to private hostels nearby, there are many, and every hostel is better than college hostel. Hostel fees range from 75000 to 90000 per year.

Admission :

I did not apply to any other colleges, EXCEPT for this one. I guess the primary thing about this college is that the campus placements are much better in this college than the other ones i was looking into. Compared to many others, one can argue that it is smaller in area, but it is quite enough. You would not get any feeling of sort. College is well maintained, nature is a quite an important part in this college. Gardens and lakes are well maintained.

Faculty :

The exam schedule is pretty basic. You will have 2 mid exams and one final semester exam for each sem. You will be having around 6 subjects per sem including the lab. The faculty does an adequete job in preparing the students for exams. I observed that the first years revceive junior faculty for core subjects if there were any. These junior faculty mostly comprise of mtech graduates persuing phd and such. From second year onwards you will be seeing mcuh more of the senior or ass proffesors who are phds and maestros in their feilds.

The campus placements in VIT AP are a thing to debate about. While am not the right person to comment on this as , I am opting for foreign studies. From what i see , its not bad. You might land a job if you actually try. You need good cgpa and good skills to land a job. Highest package last year was 60 lpa only for one female. Average was 7-8 lpa. Least being 4-5 lpa.

The course I choose have so much potential but this college is not fit the course I choose and the big part iss they don't even consider us as students they treat us as rowdyand Rebel and the this is even more for the mechanical department they don't have any girls and they choose those brach for the pure interest and the thing g we don't afford is the insulting they do to us infront of the other brach students

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for placements. Many companies visited our campus including TechM, Cognizent, Infosys, TCS, darwinbox, Ready.io, Renault Nissan, etc. Average package could be around 4 lakhs since most of the companies are service based in search of goats. Mostly 80 to 90% of students will be places. My future plans are personal and i can not disclose my personal information.

We are eligible for the campus placement program from the 4th year of college. We received a highest package of 11lpa and a lowest package of 2.8lpa. Even during the recession and low jobs in the market our college was able to give more jobs to the students i.e around 400
