this is the best choice to make the future. I will personally recommend coming to this University. As the most senior batch, we faced many problems but those were solved immediately and took into consideration. I LOVE THE ENVIRONMENT AND EXPOSURE I GET
Course Curriculum Overview :
First, we learn all the basic knowledge of Design and learn about different fields. now, I m currently a Fashion Design student where we work on different projects to make final garments. Its hardworking subject, where skills and brain both matters vice versa. Subjects like research and development, making range, Illustrations, Digital Illustrations, Draping, Garment Construction, Pattern Making, and Marketing and Management, all goes on with the extra activities like Dance, Fashion shows, College fest like CULT, gaming. We also study theoretical subjects. We work for 18 hours a day to complete the given assignments and really work hard. Exams like practical, theory and JURY, we do
Placement Experience :
yet, we are 3rd-year student, not went for iNTERNSHIPS. But as we talk to our Deans they have many tie-ups and contacts with many export houses and designers as well as they are working hard to provide us the best job to work with. They have tie-ups with Madhura group, Arvind Mills, etc.
College Events :
All the Indian Cultural Festivals are celebrated in your college, like Republic Day, Independence Day, Diwali, Holi, Dandiya Nights . and many more. They are celebrated with there rich culture and heritage. This thing is good for those who came from different places and can't go home but want to enjoy the festival. The main event perform in this University is CULT FEST, its a fest celebrated every year for 2 days, where students perform extracurricular activities. They show up their talents on stage. Even different colleges come and took part in the competitions we have like Battle of Bands, DANCE, FASHION SHOW, STANDUP COMEDY AND SO ON.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Foundation fees - 1,48,000 Per annum. Other Expenses- 2,00,000 Per annum including traveling expense, fabric purchasing, stationary, and participating in events and all. we go for sourcing and pay for tailors sometimes and sometimes we go to the cafe and clubs for parties and pay
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, I haven't taken scholarship and education loan.. as their fees structure are feasible and not too much to pay.
Campus Life :
The college is in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, where there are many other universities, It's a big exposure to be there. Inside the college people, staff and environment are great. living in hostel dent makes me miss my parents as we friends live like family and exposure and experience is great
Hostel Facilities :
First Year - 75000/- per year Second Year - 1.05,000/- per year Third Year - 1,25,000/- Hostels are very good and neat and clean, wooden floored, wooden beds with private almirahs, ac, personal washroom, fees also include electricity charges and food. Food is delicious
Alumni/Alumna :
This is a new university. We are the most senior batch of this University. so we are eager to go to the jobs next year.
Admission :
In 11th Standard, I thought of doing Designing, where I could enhance my creativity, learn about Design. So I did coaching from VIFA, Chandigarh to take admission in best colleges of Design. I tried for NIFT, UID, Pearl, IIAD, and WUD. I got admission in all Private colleges. So, I chose WUD to make my career, as all the Deans and Faculty were NIFT graduates plus talented in their Fields. I'm very proud to make the best choice for my future. I went through all the procedures, like Entrance exam, Situation test, and Interview. I m not sure about the dates of the examination, but I gave in August. Even we practice for extracurricular activities. I m loving studying here and happy to make good choices...
Faculty :
VC- Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Dean of NIFT, Profession in Textile Designing. Well organized and excellence in his skills. Other than that he will maintain the college and listen to the problems of the students. He is well communicative. DEANS are well educated and really hard working to provide the best knowledge to the students. Academic Dean, Mr. DEVENDER KHARB, is managing the Fashion Design Department, FACULTY are also very good and provide best to us.
