- I had opted for civil engineering in this college as it was very good for this branch as they had all the labs and equipment related to my branch.
- There was no restriction to dress code, we could wear whatever we want to.
Dislikes
- By having all the labs but still we did not get many practical knowledge. The professors were least interested in taking the labs.
- Placement was good for cs-it branch and for others it was just an average.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In the college i had all the labs which are necessary for my branch but the only problem was the equipment which are needed were old and even some of it was not in working condition. They should improve their labs. Teaching method should also be digitalize so that students can understand theory well by relating it to real life examples. There was a one main exam in each semester which was taken in the end of semester and two midterm exam were taken between the end exam.
Internships Opportunities :
During my time there was a covid so internship can be done only in online Mode but in that situation college has provided us a platform for internship.2 months was given for internship purpose and after that everyone has to prepare a report and pdf of their internship and there was a presentation in each student has to present their ppt and explain their internship topic.
Placement Experience :
There was an average placement as only cs-it student got placed and their avergae package was 5-6 Lpa and rest other branches got descent package of 3-4 lpa and for the branches like civil engineering the placement was below avergae as there was 2-3 company came and even they did not take much student, they took only 5-6 students among 142.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester fees was 35000 and yearly it became 70000 and this fees is for those who got self funded seat. And if somebody got government aided seat he had to pay 30000 per year for general and obc category and for sc-st they had to pay 15000 per year. For the student below the poverty line he/she got a scholarship of 50000 for sfs and 10000 for gas seats.
Campus Life :
There was a majorly 2 fest in the college.one was Thar which was cultural fest in which dj night, robot fight, intercollege competition, games, dance, sports event for 2-3 days. And another one was anukriti which is for mainly freshers in which ramp walk, dance, games etc were played. There was a library in the college where all the necessary books available and fully air conditioned and wifi enabled. The classroom was not air conditioned but the rooms and seats were good. There was some clubs also like robotics, aeronautical, master builder, seva club etc.
Hostel Facilities :
There was a separate hostel for girls and boys. For first year students there was a room in which three student to share the room. The washrooom was common and one mess in each hostel. And 2nd year onwards there was a seprate room given for each student and still the washroom was common. The quality of mess food was average and there was a different for each day and special dinner for sunday. As the college was government so the hostel charges was minimal of rs 9500 for the year and the mess fees was around 40000 per year. No wifi in the hostel.
Admission :
The admission was based on the REAP ranking which was based on the 12th board exam. You had to take part in reap counseling process and fill in your choice of branch and college according to your preferences. There was a reservation also according to your category. The exam was not difficult.
Faculty :
Faculties were very qualified as they were from iit and nit. They had an experience in both teaching and practical field. But their teaching method was little bit old as they did not related the theory with practicals.
