Course Curriculum Overview :

In honest response the curriculum is well designed but the time for the preparation is not sufficient and hence in every semester we have to skip some topics, which hampers our score in exams. Those students dependent on college for notes and all are the ones which suffer mainly

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Each year we have to pay a sum of Rs.6000 approx for 3years to complete B.Sc. The fees does increase a little bit every year. In physics dept i did not see any fees decrease for SC/ST they too are paying the same but there's a fee waiver scheme where admission occurs at minimal fees

Campus Life :

The campus of Gurucharan College is not so big yet events are organised the students participate enthusiastically, so overall its a good experience. To speak about the social aspects and club environment, Puja's are done during Saraswati puja and Durga puja, which obviously sparks a happiness in everyone.

Admission :

The admission process is through online mode. The website is well designed but often the server gets down during the form fillup due to overcrowding in the line. The cut off for Physics department was 65% in my time.

Faculty :

All the permanent teachers are highly qualified, the temporary teachers are still pursuing their Ph.D and both permanent and temporary ones teach really well. So if we talk about the teacher to student ratio it is 1:5 approx. Irrespective of the ratio the students are well addressed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good, but the syllabus seems to be too old comparing today's current world. This curriculum includes 41st semester, starting with C++, Java, data structure and algo. since I am in the final year for me, currently, it's networking. helps in learning the basic things, but to cop up with the real worls, you need to get in touch in your own

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum I studied under was CBCS. It really helped us in giving us the freedom to choose any combination of electives along with our major. As such I studied both Botany and Chemistry along with my major Zoology, which immensely helped me with my major. The curriculum was very well planned, with relevant topics which will be very useful in my professional life later on. The exam difficulty level was really good, and the frequency of exams were Semester wise with a Sessional exam being held every mid semester.

Remarks:

In a general way it's good I must say, the syllabus structure, the faculty members, then the cultural and sports section, all are quite good in this college, But yeah labs are in very bad condition for this college, I wish they renovate it very soon, so that we could get the best practical knowledge out of it.
