Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum's inclusion of core subjects like Digital Electronics, Analog and Digital Communication, Microcontroller and Microprocessor, Signal Processing and Computer Science subjects like C, Python, Java, Data Structure, DBMS, AI/ML influence me to take this course. This course prepares students for real world application. By persuing this course students can opt both core and IT industry job and higher studies. This course should have more subjects related to VLSI, Embedded system and other core subjects. In each semester 2 tests called internal 1 and internal 2 and final semester exam happens. The difficulty of exam is moderate.

Placement Experience :

The placement of my college is moderate. From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Starting from the final year campus placement starts. Many well known companies visited for campus placement like Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, HCL Tech, EY, rtCamp , TCS and many more. No of offers is not fixed. College always says 90% placement but the placement rate is about 60-70%. After getting the degree I'll opt for placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I don't have the idea of rate of Tution fee increase but each each year tution increases around 50-70 thousand. The complete cost of my current degree is around 8 lakhs. Students can get SVMCM scholarship which is 60000 per year, IEI scholarship which is 14000 per year, Oikyashree and other scholarships. Also students can opt West Bengal Student Credit Card facilities. Moderate campus placement happens which is approximately 4 LPA.

Campus Life :

In JISCE two main events happens. First one is JISTech which held in September - October. Which is a two days big technical fest where students from many colleges and schools come to showcase their projects, participate in different activities. The other one is MaJIStic which is the annual cultural fest which happens post winter. There is a quite large Central Library that provides books and many reputed journals. In many class rooms digital classroom facilities available which increase students- teacher interaction. Sports and extracurricular activities are quite good. Many student leds clubs present which involves students to participate in different activities. Currently I'm the Google DSC Lead of GDSC JISCE.

Admission :

Students can take admission through WBJEE exams or through JEE Mains. The course is placed in WBJEE counselling portal. WBJEE application form release Feb - Mar every year. Also students can take direct admission through college website. EWS reservation is present. EWS students can take admission for minimal fees. The direct admission rate is higher which conflicts with admission through WBJEE in some departments.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio at my department is approximately 1:40. This ratio is generally effective as it allowed for manageable class sizes where professors can pay attention to individual students. Most of the faculty members of my department held advanced degrees such as PhD and engaged with research work. Their deep knowledge in their respective fields significantly contributed to the quality of education. The faculties teach students in modern ways including project based learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.
