Remarks :
Good remarks : The environment is good. Gender equality is seen. Study quality is good. Library is good. Labs are very good. Faculties are helpful. Bad remarks : Library needs more number of books. Hostel conditions must be improved along with food quality.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course was designed pretty good to have a clear concept of Applied part of Electronics and Instrumentation. The industrial part was also covered. I think, it was only the basic parts which was mandatory for sure, but to some extent it was old fashioned, something new to incorporate in the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities :
The time, we were in this college, there was no provision of internship. But, many grooming classes were scheduled before interviews which would help students to crack interviews and internships in different companies.
Placement Experience :
For IT, CSE, and ECE there was a good number of campus placement opportunities. But, it was really a poor result for our trade - A.E.I.E.,we had to suffer that period. We had strikes after pleading our TPO a hell lot of time to arrange for some placement opportunities for our trade, but it was only for the other 3 trades I mentioned above.
College Events :
Can remember about the following : 1. Fresher's Welcome at college and respectively in the hostel 2. Annual Fest 3. Technical exhibition inside campus and inter-college competition 4. Cricket matches among faculties and students 5. Football matches among faculties and students
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees structure is feasible here. It is not fully private college. It's a deemed university under burdwan University. It's called as semi-government organisation. So, the fees structure is lesser compared to the private colleges. The study related expenses are also not too high to bear, it's within our limit.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Sorry, I have no idea on this matter. None of our mates were from the background you mentioned. But, still, it seems that loan facility must be there.
Campus Life :
Campus life was mostly good. Few good restrictions were there for a healthy environment. Both male and female candidates were of same importance to the facilities. Labs of our college were very well equipped unlike most of the private Engineering colleges. Sport was of very importance.
Hostel Facilities :
Our hostel was a normal space to live for 4 years. Rooms were insufficient. In the beginning, many students were allocated in a dormitory the condition wasn't healthy that time. The students who were placed inside the rooms, needed to adjust with 4 people instead of 2 or 3. The hostel was not so tidy, water issue was also there. Various insects used to come in the evening.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network is pretty helpful. They used to spread important information time to time. And, it's always good to be connected with your seniors, mates and juniors through the network which exists here.
Exam Structure :
Exams are really tough here. The pattern of given marks are also different. If someone goes through the whole syllabus with minute details, he/she can score well. Else, this college may become a curse. No matter, whether you are in last semester or first, whether you're selected by any organisation need to study really good to score good.
Admission :
Selected this college during WBJEE counselling when I was asked to opt for my choice. The next day needed to come to the college office for payment of caution money and other documentation work. Then it got approved and I became a student of A.E.I.E. for 2006-2010 batch.
Faculty :
There's no doubt that we had a great quality of faculties there, especially for our core subjects. They were cooperative, and used to encourage us to make ourselves better. They wanted us to use our library properly, and truly it helped the most. But, sometimes we suffered with lesser number of books. Hope, the quality of same or similar books increased by this time.
