- First thing i liked about my college is its campus, it is a huge campus with greenery all around the campus. There is a one big ground in the right side of the entrance where students can play cricket and football.
- The another thing is that the students of the charusat can avail free medical facilities. The student has to just get a sign from hod and one slip which they can show in hospital reception and can avail free checkup and medicines up to some extent.
Dislikes
- The college does not provide any hostel facilities to the boys. So, boys had to go for private hostels outside the college which are quite expensive. Some even rent a flat, or go for PG in vadtal or anand and daily do updown from them.
- I also don't like the attendance criteria. I know that every college has its own attendance criteria but there should be exemption for students who get cgpa >9 so that they can focus more on practical things.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum designed particularly in my Computer Science Engineering is quite similar to that in Computer Engineering and Information Technology Department. There may only about 10% of change in subjects like IT and CS have Full stack Web Development subject but CE students don't have these. Also CS and CE students have to study maths till 3rd SEM but IT students had to study maths till 4th sem.
Internships Opportunities :
There are many companies that approach college for internship. The faculties mailed to the students and informed them about it. Many companies come like Agevole which takes student for internship opportunities. I had done my internship in valsad where i had done backend project where user can make survey. It was a fully dynamic working website made in Js, mongodb and react
Placement Experience :
The students here can become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. Actual placement season starts from 7th sem but some good companies come in during end of 6th sem where they filtered out good students and take them. Many companies had visited, some are:- E infochips, Crest Data systems, ThinkBiz, Mastek, TatvaSoft, IBM, Talent System, krishaweb, etc. The average package is around 3-4 lakhs and highest package of this year is 12lakhs. Around than 80-90% students get placed each year. My plan is to study abroad
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee during my time was 102000 per year. But it has increased to around 135000 per year for all CE, CS and IT students while for other branches these is been around 100000 or so like in Civil, Mechanical, medical, etc. I live in a private hostel outside the college which charges me around 98500 for 1 year. So total fees including all for year equals to around 10 lakhs. There are many scholarships available but most famous of them is MYSY which is given by the Gujarat Government which gives benefits of about 50-65k.
Campus Life :
There are many festivals and events organized every year here at charusat. Most famous ones are Spoural, Cognizance and vrund. Spoural is a sport event where students of every depeartment competes with each other. It happens in Jan and Feb and its duration is around 45 days. Cognizance is a Tech and cultural fest which happens in end of feb. The facilities are good but some classes lack good furniture There are many clubs but most famous is Google Development Student Club (GDSC) a coding club. But college lacks clubs like hacking, dancing, singing,etc
Hostel Facilities :
I lived in a hostel just outside my college whose fees is around 1lakhs. My room is shared between 4 students, we have 4 beds two tables and one attached bathroom and toilet. The food quality of my hostel is better than most of the other hostels so we are continuing here for the 3rd year , though our rooms are not so good but yeah beacause of food we are living. The menu is also good. Every daily we have different food. The registration process is also easy and smooth.
Admission :
To get admission in Computer Science Engineering, the students had to complete 12th science in Maths group. You can apply to get admission in charusat from ACPC or from charusat website. If you get admission from ACPC then students can get reservation benefits, while if you apply from college website then the college will call all students one day to the college and give admission on basis of the merit of the student
Faculty :
The faculty members at the charusat are well qualified and experienced. Many of them are Phd holders and some junior faculties are also pursuing Phd by side. The faculty to student ratio is good which is very beneficial for students as they get mentoring and counseling from the faculties time to time. The counselor often interact with students in a span of around 15 days or some where they asked students whether they are facing any issues and ask for suggestions to improve
