CGC LANDRAN The Good In the Bad and The Bad In The Good

Dislikes

  • the teachers and the staff is not much cooperative , we are forced to attend the classes against our will and they will even call our parents if we do not attend the classes
  • we have to pay to park our vehicles in the college premises , like we are already paying for college fees and but still they ask us to pay to park my bike in the college parking

Course Curriculum Overview :

well I was forced to choose the course by the campus because there were no seats available in computer science so they forced me to choose IT and said that they would help me change to CS in the second year, but that never happened, anyways the course is good and the subjects are relevant but I dont understand the concept of teaching physics chemistry and math to an IT student and not teaching us how to develop websites and apps, and most of the students had supplied in math physics and chemistry and because of those supply they are not applicable to sit in placement drives, so thats not relevant in any chance

Placement Experience :

there are campus placements but because of their criteria most of the students get out even before the placements begin, the student becomes eligible to opt for placement in 6th semester, there are compaines like Flipkart, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and many more but their criteria make it difficult for mot of us to even get shortlist. Only 29% of students were placed from the last batch of 2020-2024, may plan after the degree id to go for master's and opt for some job to get experience in the IT sector.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

well there are scholarships like PMS and state scholarships but most of the scholarships are for just the students form Punjab only , and there is no financial assistance if we are late in paying the semester fees we'll have to an extra charge of 500 and that will increase if paid late, we can opt loans that are allowed, the campus employment opportunities are there but there are a lot of criteria to sit in the placement drives that is not told to us in the start, they will just smash those criteria on our face that make us very difficult to even sit in the placement drives and all the placement drives are held together for our college and 3 other colleges and institutes that are better than our college so because of that the opportunities for us become very less

Campus Life :

There are annual festivals like (parivatan) in which there are a lot of cultural performances and even celebrities come to perform. There are a lot of tech events like coding competitions and technical competitions. There are libraries in each block and even a central library which allows us to borrow three books at a time for 21 days each. There are smart classes on each floor There is an annual sports meet every year in which anyone can participate There are alot of student clubs based on their interests like music, photography, etc.

Admission :

It is a private college so there is no need for an entrance exam you just need to pass the 12th class and you can get entry into our college, the admission process is quite simple you just need to fill online or offline form and just submit the booking fees that is 11000 and the rest has to be paid after classes start but they will force you to pay the rest fees as soon as possible and even threat you that pay the fees or we are giving your seat to someone else.

Faculty :

some of the teachers are really good and approachable they will really help us out in any problem but still there are some teachers that are like not apprachable and they are just doing there own work not for us , sometimes they will just open the ppt and recite the cintent and not even break it down for us but some teachers have very good teaching methods they will really make you understand every thing .

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

I'm currently in the second year, so not that familiar with the placement process. But the average package is 11-12 LPA. The students are eligible for internships in 5th semester and eligible for placements in 7th semester.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. A lot of companies like PayTm, Maruti Suzuki, etc come every year and recruit a large number of students. The placement process is of several rounds and tests. There is an Entrepreneur Cell that helps students enhance their skills.
