  • My first year went in Covid so there were less opportunities for me.
  • Sometimes, the portal was problematic but the professors helped beyond their ways to solve our issues.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I found the overall curriculum a bit more towards theoretical side. But there are practical Assignments as well such as live reporting, short film making competition, industrial visits, photography and recently they have opened a community radio room as well. So they are now balancing equally between theoretical and practical knowledge, only if the students also shows interest. If the students remain on the back foot, there's not much the professors can do. They motivate, they provide us resources so it's upto us how to use these 3 years.

Internships Opportunities :

There are several internships offered in companies like Newzera, NewsTrack, Free Press, Dainik Bhaskar, Nayi Dunia, Red FM, MP News, and so. Also, you can ask personally to the professors about the field you are interested in and they will surely provide you internship as soon as they get to know about one. However, I did internship on my own.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fee during my tenure was 50,000 annually. However, based on my 12th score, I was offered a scholarship. Apart from tution fee, there's bus fee if you opt for it, and exam fee. Apart from these, there was no extra charge. Also, if you maintain your CGPA, your scholarship can be continued to second and third year.

Campus Life :

Apart from the famous annual fests, there are many events held and several prominent personalities are called in as chief guests. These events are quite enjoyable. I have taken active part in most of the events such as Women's Day, Holi Celebration, Onam Celebration, sports day, Orientation programme, and more. The campus is the best thing I loved. It is quite vast, and you can definitely have a good time roaming around the cafeteria, basketball court, foundation garden, and nescafe. P.S. - the ambient of library is a must have experience.

Admission :

The selection criteria was direct admission, based on SEE (SAGE ENTRANCE EXAM). But that's just to check your basic knowledge. You don't have to worry about it! I took help of a counselor who very smoothly guided me in the application process and you can even do everything online by sending all the necessary documents and receiving the fee receipt over whatsapp.

Faculty :

The faculties are really good and I would definitely say well qualified. The assistant professors had years of practical experience, and the senior professors had PhD in the field alongwith years of on-field experience. They shared not only the subjective knowledge but their contacts as well for internships and such purposes. It is very easy to interact with them, they have friendly - yet professional attitude and that's what I loved the most.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To choose this course I was interested in videography and photography plus alot of things specifically because it provides confidence and happiness to me. For real world applications and academic pursuits they teach us about how the people hire you on basis of your skill not your degree. Exams are almost good to go never hard and not too long to be left unwritten And that's it.

I want to become a journalist so that I choose this course and course curriculum at Jagran Lakecity University is designed with a strong focus on industry needs and real-world applications. All the areas of course curriculum are improving. Exams are conducted at regular intervals, with mid-term assessments and end-of-semester exams being the most significant.

In the last semester, students became eligible for the campus placement. The companies from Nagpur, Raipur come here to select students by taking the exams and interviewing the students. If the company is interested they give opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it was really diverse, and dealt with numerous interesting subjects such as Radio, Film and television, Editing, political science, etc. 5:1 The professors in the university were UGC approved, some were Ph.D.'s others persued Ph.D. They had good teaching skills and experience. Final exams would take half to one month to complete. The difficulty level of the exams was medium.
