Each semester has two mid-semester evaluation and one end-semester evaluation. 40% weighting is given to projects, assignments and other group activities.

There are many events organized on the campus every semester. Events such as freshers party, pool party, Diwali, Lohri, Holi, food festival, DJ night, mad night all take place here which is the best part to enjoy and relax after your busy schedule. The campus has an athlete meet every even semester. the participation is good for all the events.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I haven't opted for an education loan. There is a Thapar scholarship test conducted by Thapar during the admission process.

Campus Life :

The campus life at Thapar is awesome. The infrastructure is good and well maintained. The campus has a beautiful ambiance. The gender ratio is 1:1. The classrooms are equipped with a projector and the academic block is fully air-conditioned. The student to faculty ratio is good and presentations and case study are used for teaching. The campus has a gym facility.

Alumni/Alumna :

LM Thapar has an alumni network of more than 10,1000 students and the seniors are really helpful. The seniors are motivating and they share their success story with us and help us to grow.

Admission :

I got admission in LM Thapar School of management through my CAT score. You can also apply through NMAT, CMAT, MAT or you can give the Thapar test which is conducted by Thapar during the admission process. The admission process is divided into 3 rounds. First is the TU test. second is a group discussion and third is a personal interview. The admission process starts in March and the results are declared by the second week of April.

Faculty :

The teachers are really helpful and there are many guest faculty visiting the campus. The faculty is highly qualified and there are many quest faculties visiting the campus. Faculty members are very co-operative. They are always available for clearing our doubts.

Placement Experience:

Talking about the placements they offer majorly in Marketing and HR. That doesn't mean other specializations are not good but as compared to Marketing and HR they have fewer campus placement opportunities. The average package is around 3.5 LPA and the highest offered is 32 LPA. The highest package that students secure was 13 lpa offered by Federal Bank. Other than this some companies also offers around 7 LPA like Burger Pints and Asian Paints.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good only. Like I'm doing MBA, on first year we studied all the subjects - finance, marketing, HR, supply chain, everything. There were subjects that weren't that good and most students found them to be irrelevant one such subject was management lessons from ancient India.

Remarks:

UBS is a good college but not extraordinary. If you are willing to put your best effort them this is for you and if you are thinking that you are going to depend on your professors then don't come here. It's not par with IIM ofcourse, discussion of case studies will always depend upon the professor you got. Don't expect much. Good ROI definitely. So if you are happy with an average placement and don't want to take too much stress then this college is for you. But I'm repeating don't left IIM for UBS if it's not necessary.
