MY COLLEGE JOURNEY AT SKASC

Dislikes

  • Sometimes, cultural events conducted inside the college is less so we want to go to other colleges to showcase our talents.
  • The distance from main gate to our arts college is more , which drains out our energy in the morning especially during sunny days.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Banking and Insurance course because nowadays banks are considered to be the most instrumental organization's that provide overall funding to everyone. Learning in depth about banks is really useful. Banking sector is growing tremendously and gaining knowledge in this field enables me to secure a good job in banks. The method of teaching is great and I think no improvements are needed. Exams are somewhat difficult and they conduct two internal exams followed by end semester examination.

Internships Opportunities :

For internship , they provide the freedom to select our own choice of company but with ISO certified standards with 9001 or 14001. The duration of internship was 1 month for us and it's declared compulsory for everyone to undergo internship training. Personally for me, the internship was excellent that enabled me to engross in my field of study. The college provides a guide to oversee our internship training process.

Placement Experience :

When it comes to placements at SKASC (Sri Krishna Arts and Science College), they have a good track record of placing students in various companies. The college usually conducts placement drives where companies visit the campus to recruit students. They provides training and support to us to enhance our employability skills and prepare for interviews.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fee for my course is INR 43,000 per semester which is okay for the infrastructure, smart board teaching and various opportunities provided by the institution. The complete cost after including costs for additional courses , printouts, records etc.. shall be around 2,70,000 for three years. Campus provides humungous placement opportunities with good packages to everyone depending on individual's skill sets.

Campus Life :

I was a member of Rotaract club of my college during my first year. The club did wonders like helping people and engaging in community service. Also they conduct awareness programmes and events too. Library is accessed by everyone in the college by making an entry in the book with the librarian. They even lend books for a specific period for our use. College conducts various sports and extra curricular activities that include speech, presentations, quiz, dance, music and more events.

Admission :

Eligibility of the course is atleast 50% in board exams after completing 12th standard with commerce as stream of study. Applications can be done after declaration of 12th board exam results. The process of applying was good for me and the staffs coordinated well. Everything was fine regarding admission.

Faculty :

All faculties are well educated and some even have doctorate degree with them. This ensures the experience and news that is shared with us by the faculties. Everything is taught digitally by displaying in smart board by connecting to a laptop which ensures that the college is moving towards Digital India policy. All the notes are uploaded in Google classroom which are accessed anytime though we take notes.
