Mysore Medical College and Research Institute: A Place to start your medical dreams

Dislikes

  • Some teachers are old fashioned in their way of teaching and their mindset is also the same.

Course Curriculum Overview :

MBBS is a course which done from any government college is equally good, so on this matter, this college stands equal to other colleges. There are some issues for people who don't understand Kannada. So, a person must learn kannada in order to understand things more effectively.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The few structure is like any other government medical college in Karnataka except for the ESI Medical colleges as they are central government based. Also, scholarships are provided to people which SC/ST categories. Also, books are provided free of cost to such people and their hostel fees is also paid by the government.

Campus Life :

The campus life here isn't that good to be very honest. Although, a wide range of books are available in the library and also, an e-library has been established. Events are conducted on regular basis, that's all.

Hostel Facilities :

The new hostel for boys is quite good. We have been provided with individual study tables and chairs (three people share a room), a fan and three tubelights. Also, each room has an attached washroom. The registration process for the hostel is quite smooth and simple and affordable. The food quality however is not that good.

Admission :

The admission process consists of getting the admission order via AIQ or KEA. After getting the admission order, a person must pay the required fees online (some part for KEA and none for AIQ). Rest needs to be paid after coming to the college. The admission process in MMCRI is very smooth.

Faculty :

All the faculty members are well qualified and some of them are even editors of some books. For a north indian, it would be difficult to adjust in the start here because some teachers are habitual of using Kannada instead of English.
