SJBIT student review

Dislikes

  • The college campus is very huge which means we students have to travel long distance by foot everyday. The distance from the main gate to the college is 1km which sometimes has to be covered on foot.
  • The teachers though having good knowledge about the subject they are not so good at teaching. Some lectures have attitude problem and this tends to discourage the students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are specialized classes called HRD classes which provide training for the students for the interviews they will be attending. Both theoretical and practical experiences are provided for the student which encourages the student to gain knowledge about the subject. An area of improvement could be implementing core subjects such as programming for BE students at an earlier stage. You have an internal assessment (unit test) every month and the semester ends with an semester-end examination.

Internships Opportunities :

Still being in the first year I do not have enough knowledge about the internships but as per my research about the college some of the companies that offered internships at SJBIT are Data lore Labs for AI and ml domain and Live Wire company for data science stream, etc.

Placement Experience :

The students of SJBIT become eligible for placement opportunities from the 7th semester. Some of the companies that visited the college are Square Yards Quiz Crop Limited IndiaMART, Hunger Box, No broker , Thomson reuters, Iron Mountain, and Apollo Munchin. Number of office made in the year 2023 are 613. The highest package is Rangers at 27 lpa and the average package is around 6lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is around 95%. My personal plans after completing the course of Engineering is to work for 2 years and then apply for a Master.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I joined the college through the comedk examination. So according to comedk the college fees is about 290000 per annum. As per my knowledge, the college hostel fee is about 90000. College helps us to apply for and claim scholarships which is a great advantage for the students. Placement opportunity is provided by the college from 3rd year onwards.

Campus Life :

There are specific cultural and sports activities that are held in the odd and even semester respectively. BGS Utsav which is held in the odd semester comprises of all the cultural activities conducted by the college. Celebrities such as Yash, Ramesh Arvind, Amulya and Karunya Ram have been a part of this program. Wrchiswa which is held in the events semester comprises of all the sports activities conducted by the college it is usually conducted in the month of June. I was library is present in the college which can be utilized by the students. There are projectors present in each and every classroom which enhance the learning process.

Admission :

The cutoffs vary for different streams. As I joined through Comet ke examination the cut off for me was around 30000 in the third round of comedk counseling for the course of information science and engineering. There are three internals that are conducted on a monthly basis and the same and examination is conducted every semester. The difficulty level of the examinations is medium. The admission process is pretty easy and convenient for the students.

Faculty :

Each faculty approximately handels about 60 students per class. They have good knowledge about the subject . They provide required theoretical and practical experience for the students. Almost all the members of the teaching faculty have completed their masters and have a comand on the subject they teach. Teachers are always open for any doubt clarification by the student and providing a safe environment for the growth of the student.
