Remarks :

We have a good management. We can really enjoy our life at this campus. We have to concentrate on our studies on our own to get benefitted.

Entrance Preview :

It is due to the brand name PSG. I am not at all interested in joining engineering as my brother is an engineer. My parents also dislike myself to be enrolled as an engineering student. So, I opt-in pursuing degree courses. My home is at Pollachi. So I opted for PSG which is located at Coimbatore 40 km away from my home.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As far as our curriculum is conct, it is simple and easily understandable. We can score marks if we concentrate a little during examinations times. Lab portions too deal the same as of theory syllabus. So we can concentrate on both and get good marks.

Internships Opportunities :

For our department, the answer is NO. Our college will not provide internship for my department. We have to search for companies on our own.

Placement Experience :

It is somewhat good I think so. Many of seniors got placed in software firms. My other department friends too are getting placed in their respective areas of work. So overall placement is good but still can improve a lot. There are unplaced students too

College Events :

There are a lot of events that happen at our college. Both intercollegiate and intra college events happen at our college. Technical events too take place. A lot of cultural events happens in our college which is a pure pleasure to look out for. Our computer department conducts a technical event annually once.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Speaking on the fee structure, I must say we have two branches in our college. One is self-financed and the is government undertaken. The government undertaken is otherwise called ad aided. The students of aided will pay a minimal fee. As far as self-financed students are concerned they pay a huge amount.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, the loan can be availed. The loan amount for the tuition fee will be provided. College offers loan for students from SC/ST Communities.

Campus Life :

As far as extracurricular activities are concerned, our college provides full freedom for the students. Girls are slightly higher in ratio than boys. Sports are good at our college. There are grounds, indoor stadiums for different games. Labs are good and are well maintained.

Hostel Facilities :

We have a very good hostel at our college. The neatness is great. The premises are old but well maintained. Food provided within the mess is good on comparison with another college around the locality. Water doctors are more. Food provided are clean and are well served.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

As of now, I don't know much of the details about our alumni network. Senior students are good for us. They motivate us.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure follows a basic pattern. Internal assessments provide 25 marks and the major semester exam is for 75 marks. Totally a subject is for 100 marks. The internal assessment is divided into two. There is a first internal and followed by the second.

Admission :

It is purely based on my high school marks. I secured below their criteria at the end of first round of counseling. During the last round of counseling, my marks were OK for them to the course that I aimed for. So, fortunately, I took the course and started pursuing.

Faculty :

Coming to faculties, we have a moderate opinion on them. Some are good and are not up to the level I think so. But as a student coming to the college level we aren't in need of a professor to teach us. We must be able to learn on our own. Our college staffs are cooperative and are nice to interact.

The life at CUTN

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of my course is actually good and covers major areas of Microbiology with insights on the future applications too. Coming to the exam point of view, the exams aren't very hard. An average or above average student can clear the papers with some effort. The way they conduct exams are pretty impressive as they give the students a day or two off after each exams for preparation so that we won't be exhausted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is quite good here compared to the other universities. The curriculum the very good order of the topics. The semester exams are conducted twice in a year. It will be 3 hours.
