- The environment, it's filled with Greeneries so it's quite cool during peak summers inside the campus compared to the outside.
- There is no ragging in the campus of University of North Bengal.

- The Buildings are really old and the infrastructure needs to be changed.
- Still haven't adapted to the new and modern method of teaching that should be done in masters level compared to other universities
Course Curriculum Overview :
Well I was in class 8 when I opted for Economics, and I had to drop Computer for that.... Since then I just fell in love with my subject. Economics is a subject where you not just have to learn things but understand it's mechanics to solve the real world problems such as poverty, unemployment, inflation etc.... the frequency and timing of exams in my department is in an interval of 6 months which is quite good I would say!
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Since it's a Public University, fees are really very affordable but if you're not from general category, i.e. you belong from ST, SC or OBC, u enjoy special privileges, such as free tuition fees and exam fees, enjoy special scholarships like Kanyashree, SVMC, single girl child etc.... the amount of financial aid that you get is also very good you can get upto 50,000 INR per year!
Campus Life :
Been here in this University for an year now.... And I love being here, the ecosystem here is friendly and refreshing due to its nature holdings.... The library is very huge and easily accessible to students, there are 2 annual events that are hosted in the university, i.e. freshers and farewell which is enjoyed by all students of the university, for sports, there's an annual sports meets which includes sports like, Athletics, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Chess, Carrom, Football, tug of war, and many more, overall these sports are held even for girls!
Admission :
For the admission, there is no entrance exams but you'll undergo with a screening procedure. The marks that you scored in your Undergraduate level will be checked along with which caste you belong to, preferences will be given first to ST&SC students then for OBC-A & OBC-B category students and if any seat is left, it'll be made open for General students, I was lucky to get admission in the very first list since I had scored good marks in my UG
Faculty :
All the teaching faculty members are highly qualified teachers in the university. The faculty to student ratio is quite good, it's like 4:1 ratio... The teachers in the university though teaches the same course over the years and the notes they provide are the exact same copy over the years which I dislike. Teachers in my department is quite good and friendly behaviour, they approach to us about clearing our doubts and asks us to approach to them if we have any kind of problem, be it academic or of any sort which is a plus point as it creates a friendly environment between the teachers and students and students can rely on teachers with their trust and faith.
