Remarks :
I personally like this institute a lot because it has got a nice infrastructure, faculty, placement, well connected by metro. The place is also pretty posh as the institute is located in Connaught place where the students after the classes can hang out with their friends. So overall the college experience was really nice at YMCA, management institute. The management also seems to be very helpful and friendly.
Entrance Preview :
The reason for me opting for this particular institute is because of the reason that it is very reputed, the quality of teaching is just absolutely up to the mark, highly qualified teachers some of them who have their Ph.D. degrees, retired management officials and great part-time professors in this institute. And the fees structure is very affordable and not tight on your budget. This is a great combination of quality education with keeping in mind the quantity in terms of the course fees. Plus, the institute has a course for every individual as in a student, working professional and as well as a fresher.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is absolutely amazing. The course is well connected and researched according to your choice of the course. Related subjects are only taught followed by group discussions, powerpoint presentations, interviews and making projects. All in all a student is fully prepared for the management journey he/she has ahead of her. The institute prepares you for a proper corporate world.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, the YMCA, Institute of Management provides various internships and direct hiring is done via the placement cell of the college. Many companies are lined for the interview process and selection is done on the basis of your in-person interview and second the marks. The Institute also puts up the notice in case of any vacancy they see of any company and a directory is also maintained by the management to help students look for jobs and internships.
Placement Experience :
The job opportunities are very well as placements are provided by YMCA Institute of management. A directory is also maintained by the office so that the student can apply for the jobs and internships looking at the company's profile. Notices are also put on board regarding any vacancy.
College Events :
The events take places such as cultural fests in the college and Convocation also happens when you successfully complete your course. Students from other colleges can also come and join in the cultural fest by showing their college ids. A lot of fun and frolic takes place during these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is very affordable, feasible, easy on your budget and not too expensive as we think management studies take. The fees can be a pain in two installments or even directly, either way, you need to inform the management regarding the same and they would guide you with the same. The fees can be deposited either by cheque or card.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
To be honest, No as such no scholarships are given maybe because of the reasonable fee structure they have. It is very affordable maybe because of the reason that they only have a certificate and diploma courses to offer and not a degree. Whatsoever, maybe the reason the education and skills imparted here are of very good quality and equivalent to every good management colleges.
Hostel Facilities :
Ymca institute does have hostel facility but only for the students who do not belong to Delhi. There is no canteen in the campus but there are food stalls which is just near the campus where the students can go and have a light meal in between their lecture breaks. And if you have enough time, you can go to the main market and would get various food stalls which would easily fit in your budget.
Alumni/Alumna :
The seniors do not really come in touch with us because of the problem of batch timings and we literally are never able to see them come and attend the classes because they are probably passed out or in different batches than us. And also the classes held here are continuous and we hardly get to meet our seniors so no comments on the senior students.
Exam Structure :
The exam structure is also very convenient. There are two semesters in total for both, certificate and diploma courses. The students if fail to appear for the exam on the given date, they can re-appear the next year for the same exam. And if in case a student fails, re-test would happen. If a student’s exam clashes with his/her college exam them he/he gets 3 attempts to appear for the exam.
Admission :
The process of admission goes somewhat like this- 1) Decide the kind, of course, you want to take related to your eligibility criteria. 2) The courses are either a certificate or diploma. 3) After deciding, you directly need to go to the Institute for the form filling, where you would be required to submit the first half of the fees then and there only. 4) After filling up the form you would be given a date for the general entrance exam followed with an interview. 5) After the entrance procedure, you would be given the batch for your respective classes.
Faculty :
The faculty of the institute is highly qualified to have their PH’D degree, ex- working professionals from various sectors, experienced and well read. Their way of teaching is what makes all your management concepts clear. Books and notes are provided for each subject with ppt’s which are directly mailed to the student’s email id’s via the teachers. So the material is accessible either in hard copy or a soft copy. Extra classes are also sometimes conducted for various difficult topics.
