Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is up to date with industry trends. We also get to practically implement concepts taught in lab sessions. Visual imagery and animations can be used to improve curriculum. You get surplus time for exam preparation.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Highest Stipend offered is Rs. 1,50,000/m (DeShaw). If you're good in DSA with decent projects, you can land an internship. Arcesium offered Rs. 1,25,000/m. They hire for the role of Software Developer Intern and Product Intern.

Placement Experience :

Placements are pretty good. Companies start arriving from 4th Semester onwards. Big MNCs like JP Morgan, American Express, BNY Mellon, Apple come for On Campus Recruitment. Highest Package is 1.2Cr from Rubrik.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee Brochure is shared beforehand. The tuition fee does not increase. Hostel and Mess Fee increases. Total expenses can go up to 25,00,000 for 4-year course. Scholarships are provided to students on the basis of merit and EWS.

Campus Life :

Technical and Cultural Fests occur Frequently. From Hackathons to Concerts, from Food festivals to Inter College Sport Competitions, everything is there. Saturnalia, URJA, MudraNite, Thapar Food Festival are some of the most awaited events.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are pretty good. Lift, AC, Water coolers, Lobby, TV room, CCTV cameras, everything is there. Food quality in mess is average but it can be improved. Registration details are provided by college through mail.

Hostel Fee : INR 100000 per year

Admission :

Admission was on the basis of class 12th PCM percentage and JEE scores both. There is a 50% reservation for students from Punjab. Application details can be found on the institute's website and social media handles.

Faculty :

The faculty is highly qualified. They are open to discussion and collaborating. The also offer you time apart from lectures for discussion. Approachable in free time. Excellent mentorship in hackathon and other competitions.

From passing 2nd year onwards students are eligible for the placements classes which costs around 10-12k till 4th year. I'm from mechanical field so the highest package is around 18 lakhs and average package goes to 4-6 lakhs.

Inside LPU: Student's prespective

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I was passionate about coding from my 10th class and technology always fascinates me. In our class, total students were 70 which was same for most of the sections. Some faculty members of my college were good while most of them were tolerable. Most of them had masters degree and some had done PhD. They were focused mostly on the curricullum designed by the university and completed syllabus within the timeline.Our college had separate marks for attendance and any student with below 75 attendance will not be able to give end term exams except for some medical condition. We had CAs (class assement exams), mid term exams and end term exams. The CAs are little bit higher level as that of mid and end terms exams. Overall exams are moderate to higher and someone who had studied the syllabus topics and followed the faculty members will easy pass the exam.

A Closer Look at LPU: A Student's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Placement of cse is very good with respect to other branches. Almost 70–80% of eligible students(having cgpa more than 6.67) get placed in different mnc’s. 1.package less than 4 lacs 80% of placed students get package of less than 4 lacs in companies like cognizant,tcs,techmahindra etc. 2.package in between 4–7 lacs 15% of placed students falls in this category,they get companies like bosch,yodlee,hitachi etc. 3.package of approx 15 lacs Remaining 5% students get placement in amazon(package 16 lpa) which visit lpu every year.

Only one thing I hate about college is they don't paint the building outside of the whole college for income tax purpose I think this is very disappointing thing of the college But otherwise College is good.
