  • The canteens are not that great if you are looking for a college with good canteens

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course has covered most of the current relevant topics up to date, yet there can be more interactive sessions that include discussions around it. Our curriculum has also brought us new interests, during exams we have the perfect amount of study leave for us to prepare.

Internships Opportunities :

For my department, there were no internships provided, but do have to do an internship by 4th sem. but there are 6-month summer internships for MBA students by the end of the second semester, there are placement orientation and training programs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The complete cost would be around 5-6 lakhs, there might be a hike in tuition fees during the final semester. there is campus employment available, but I have not taken that, there is a Jayantian achievement Scholarship which is around 10k per annum.

Campus Life :

We have a variety of fests, the humanities department has a bunch of fests which is very fun and interactive. It also helps us to network and connect with people. We have a safe space to bring out our ideas. we have many clubs and associations like the Anchors Association Debating Club and much more.

Admission :

As I was in the post-COVID batch, there were no exams but there were online interviews, as my course was English literature they asked pretty relevant questions about my interests why I took up the course, and also what my ideas were about the course.

Faculty :

For me, I have felt like our department has the best faculty , they are the best people who actually help you grow and we are free to talk to them ,they create a safe space for us. They make everything more interactive and helps us bring out our potential to the core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum and syllabus are pretty thorough and let students think and be creative. In psychology, multiple theories have been discussed well and projects based on them are given to make the understanding better. The lab classes play an important role since we get first-hand experience with how experiments are conducted, and they tend to give a deeper understanding of the topic being studied. I chose this course because I was interested in the subject, and the classes strengthened this decision of mine. The teaching methods can be a bit more interactive and while frequent quizzes and discussions do occur, certain parts of the subject need a more extensive explanation, and usually extra emphasis is not given to important topics. We have one mid-semester exam and one end-semester exam. According to me, these exams are enough to help students prepare. The difficulty level has got to be very subjective. I find some topics harder than others and that influences my grades.
