I don't hate is but our electrical department is a little bit strict. Although it's not a bad thing.
I hate that two colleges are in the same campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose electrical because there are many scope with this course. The course curricullum is very well maintained and followed properly in our college. There is a CA exam every month to keep in check with the student's progress.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship was not that descent. only 4% or 5% of the students had the opportunity of getting an internship in the college. Students can get internship opportunity from web developers or machine learners, etc.

Placement Experience :

Mostly from the 7th semester, the students are eligible for campus placemets. In our college almost 60% to 70% of students are placed. Top recruiting companies likeTCS, Capfemini, Cognizant, Infosys, L&T, Acenture, etc visit our campus every year. The average salary package offered is around 3 LPA to 4 LPA and the highest salary package offered is around 12 LPA to 14 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The overall fees for this course is around 350000 rs. It includes tution fees, library fees, sports fees, caution money and other service fees. There are scholarships, stipends and financial aid available for the students who meet the eligibility criteria.

Campus Life :

My overall campus life is very good. I really liked the campus life in my college. I really enjoyed it with my friends. There are many clubs where students can join. I'm a part of a club too. Our college organizes many cultural events. The overall Infrastructure of the college is very good. There is a library also with a variety of books students can borrow from.

Admission :

I got admission through the WBJEE rank I got by giving the exam. I got direct admission. There was no other written test or interview. We had to go to college for verification and all the other paper works. The cut off for this college is around 30000 rank in WBJEE.

Faculty :

The faculty members of our electrical department are very friendly towards us. They are very easy to approach and they help us with anything we are facing problem with. They are all well qualified with doctorate degree in their majors. Overall I really liked the faculty members.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards become eligible for campus placements TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and Redhat are just a few examples of some service-based companies that offer placements to uem kolkata students. The highest package was 72 LPA and the average was 8.8 LPA. Almost 70-80% got placed. After getting the degree I want to be a javascript developer

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.
