Review about my 4 years of college

Dislikes

  • Size of campus is small. Wardens are not good. Wifi connectivity not good.
  • Infrastructure: Reviews mention average infrastructure, with a limited sports area and lack of Wi-Fi access for students outside labs

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure at Poornima College of Engineering likely follows the RTU curriculum, which offers a standardized foundation but might limit the college's ability to personalize the program. Further research is recommended to get a clearer picture of the specific courses and practical learning opportunities available.

Internships Opportunities :

Celebal Technologies offer various Internships on various course for students. Sometimes this is paid with stipend sometimes it's not. It gains experience of industry area for students. If the internship offered practical experience in your field of study, it could be valuable regardless of the company's reputation. Helps in building network.

Placement Experience :

placements at Poornima College of Engineering seem decent, with a focus on employability. Placement Rate: Reviews suggest a placement rate of around 75% for students Companies Visiting: Reputed companies like Infosys, Wipro, and even Flipkart (with a high package offered)

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure at Poornima College of Engineering can vary depending on the program you choose and any scholarships you might qualify for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) 1,70,000. Hostel fees: Can vary depending on room type and food options mentioned as 1,35,000 per year.

Campus Life :

Some students mention a supportive and friendly atmosphere with good connections made with classmates and teachers There seems to be some level of club activity, with the Zircon Club mentioned as a hub for robotics enthusiasts. The extent and variety of clubs might be limited compared to larger universities average infrastructure with limited sports facilities and a small playground

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are said to be spacious and semi-furnished, with options for AC, non-AC, and shared/single occupancy food quality is decent, with a home-like dining facility. The hostel experience at Poornima College of Engineering appears to be average. Students appreciate the security, spacious rooms, and on-campus convenience.

Admission :

The admission process for Poornima College of Engineering (PCE) appears to be different for undergraduate (B.Tech). REAP Registration have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and score well in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main or have a good percentage in 12th Science subjects.

Faculty :

The faculty members are highly qualified, with many possessing PhDs and Master's degrees. Students report that the professors are approachable and willing to clarify doubts. There's a possibility that faculty support might vary across different engineering branches. Reviews suggest placements are stronger in Computer Science, so the faculty might have a stronger focus in that area

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food is a vast subject and people will not stop eating, so the scope of food technology is just amazing. The college has its own faculty for different subjects. This btech course is of 4 years ie 8 semesters. Each semester has midterms and final semester exams. Last semester is for an internship. Midterms are of 20 marks, practical of 30 marks and final semester theory exams of 50 marks, so passing the exam is damn easy. Regular classes with good faculties make this course easy.

There are a lot of companies in our college very much are tech companies but there are branch specific companies also. The placement department is working very hard for each person's good placement. There are 70-80% chances that you will get placed conditionally if you have the right skills and knowledge required there.

A good type of companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc offer internships two together off-campus and on-school grounds where there exist many assistant roles ready for use to enhance our ability and get ready for future placements. We also disturb do a variety of projects to embellish our skills. Out of it, 60-70% of students get placed. My plan after getting a degree is to start up my own startup. College also supports new startup plans.

Placement Experience:

Our campuses placement scenario has been positive with a 100% placement rate. Around 2 months before the placement session, the placement cell of our college contact recruiters after which through the job announcement form, all the companies provide our necessary data. Most importantly, everyone needs to know that the placement session occurs twice a year i.e. between January to April and August to November. Above all, the highest package offered in the previous year was 45 LPA and that as an average package 7-8 L was witnessed. Also, since our college offers summer internships.
