Could have kept boys hostel too which is shut down for 3+years
College doesn't organise any fest or freshers but take money during admission

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was inclined towards chemistry and physics and also in chemical production so I chose chemical engineering. It's more towards theoretical approach bit lab works and internships from college gives real world view. Needs newer approach towards syllabus. We have surprise tests multiple times a semester and 2semester throughout the year. As an autonomous college it set hard to intermediate type questions.

Internships Opportunities :

There are summer internship provided by the college to every student after 3rd year final semester. for core branches HPL, iocl, berger, mn dastur, acrelo mital, itc visit the campus ITC provide stipend of 15k Mn dastur and acrelo mital offers around 5-6k

Placement Experience :

The placement of it department is very good. Right now the placement scenario of core branches has also improved. Companies like tcs, Wipro, IBM, tejas, offering a package ranging from 5-9 lpa. In core MN Dastur, acrelo mittal, Berger, itc, DCPL, Hamadi chemicals, HPL, woods, Wooley, etc. with a package range of 4.5-6.5.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees increase after a sem about 1110 rupees. Fees for our session ranges from 44k to 47k and admission fee about 72k Tfw students get to admit in half of the fees throughout the 4 year course. Governmental scholarships are accessible through college.

Campus Life :

There is no fest or fresher event or farewell event organized by the college authority. There is a very large library which is very easily accessible and semester books are provided and lot of competitive books are available. It has up to date technology in classrooms and labs. It has basketball, football, cricket, archery like sports training.

Hostel Facilities :

There is girls hostel which is good and safe place to live in. The quality of food and variety is also appreciable. For renting rooms or pg one should stay near ruby hospital in RR plot or hussainpur. There is no boys hostel.

Hostel Fee : INR 72000 per year

Admission :

You have to be class xii pass and either appeared in wbjee or jee mains. The counseling is done by west Bengal joint entrance board. It takes place 2 time one after wbjee and other after jee mains. There is management quota seat whose prices are confidential. To get computer science a rank of about 4k is required at least.

Faculty :

A faculty to student ratio is 1 teacher to 5 students Faculties are very efficient in their respective subjects and support students with paper, journal, conference and symposiums too. We can interact teacher any time during college.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.
