Likes

The Faculties are very supportive. When they teach us we have overwhelmed of that.
The college campus is beautiful. Many colleges can't beat with it.

Dislikes

In recent years the placement was not good as per our expectation.
The facilities which college provides is not appreciatable.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The main part is laboratory classes. That is very effective for me. As ECE is mixture of hardware and software so I chose this stream. The improvement i want to be done is the instruments which are already very old needs to change.

Class Size : 4Course Fees : INR 400000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Mainly our course is about 4 lakhs. As the fees are collected in the 2 times of a year almost rs. 100000 is paid to college. SVMCM scholarship is available in this college. From internship 15k is provided as a stipend

Campus Life :

In our college tech fest is held. In that tech fest there will be going on Competition within intra college and inter College. Each department has done departmental fesr. There are many clubs in college. Phenix, robotics

Admission :

After the result of WBJEE I took a chance to apply this college through direct admission. If you reserve one seat it will not give to anyone. The semester exams are held in 2 times of a year. Almost we have get 6 months time

Faculty :

Maximum faculties had persued PhD. Those who are not doctorate they had done M.Tech. Our faculties are very supportive in everything. Fron small things to vast topics they teach us in same effort. Students are also very interactive on those classes. Specially in laboratory they are just like our guide.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards become eligible for campus placements TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, and Redhat are just a few examples of some service-based companies that offer placements to uem kolkata students. The highest package was 72 LPA and the average was 8.8 LPA. Almost 70-80% got placed. After getting the degree I want to be a javascript developer

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.
