Things to know before joining BIITM

Dislikes

  • Not a great fan of the college infrastructure.
  • There unavailability of lift facility for students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

• A total of 4 semesters are conducted in the MBA program. For the 1st semester:- • 9 compulsory papers (9*3 credits per paper) For the 2nd semester:- • 9 compulsory papers (9*3 credits per paper) • Students will be required to choose their choice of dual specialization after the 2nd semester. For the 3rd semester:- • 4 papers of 1st specialization.(4*3 credits per paper) • 4 papers of 2nd specialization. (4*3 credits per paper) For the 4th semester:- • 3 papers of 1st specialization.(3*3 credits per paper) • 3 papers of 2nd specialization.(3*3 credits per paper) Grand total credits of the whole papers= 102

Placement Experience :

The highest ever placement was around 37 lpa by Asian paints. A student can expect an average of 2 lpa after placement. Companies start showing up from the 3rd semesters and conduct personal interview or group interview round (gdpi rounds) The institute is reputed for the best placements among all institutes as it offers a 100% placements. Reputed companies are invited by the institute every year such as HDFC Bank, Bandhan Bank, Deloitte and many more. I am planning to sit for in campus placements at first.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Course fees structure - Students are provided scholarships when they fulfill certain criteria. The grand total fee for the 1st year is 167000 (in rupees) The grand total fee for the 2nd year is 149000(in rupees) Internships- Students are to have at least 75% of attendance in the 2nd semester in order to sit in summer internship program (sup) rounds. Students get the opportunity to work with prestigious companies according to their choice of department and specialization. Certain internship provide stipend awards as well. But mostly, experience.

Campus Life :

'jasn' is the annual function celebrated every year by the whole campus. The institute celebrates the traditional and cultural festivities like Saraswati Puja and Ganpati Puja as well. 'Cheerio' is the title for farewell given to the seniors by the juniors in the institute. The campus has annual sports meet, have NSS wing that encourage swachata drives. The library is the best place to be at the campus. Students can borrow books and take study materials like pervious year's questions and notes. Also, the library distributes daily Business standard to the students.

Hostel Facilities :

The college has separate hostels available for both boys and girls. The girls hostel is situated 1.5 kms away from the campus while the boy's hostel is 4 kms away The hostel fee for the 1st year is 100000( in rupees) and for the 2nd year 100000( in rupees). The only thing disappointing in the hostel is the food that is offered. The food menu, although selected by the students themselves, is pretty average. The cooking staff aren't well trained. For breakfast students are served only south Indian meal. For lunch and dinner, we have options for vegetarian and non-vegetarians. The girl's hostel locality isn't really favourable after 6 pm. Also, the in time for students is 7pm. The girls hostel offers rooms for duo, trip and squad. Donot refer to Google images of the hostel. You'll be utterly disappointed.

Admission :

The admission department is greatly helpful and friendly and provide all necessary information regarding the admission and the program. Admission cell have the required form for application for admission. For eligibility, a student must have appeared entrance exams like OJEE, ATMA, XAT,MAT,CAT, etc. Study leave is given to students atleast 2 weeks before the semesters. But no gap in between the semester exams. Before the semester exams, quiz tests, class tests and 2 internal tests are conducted.

Faculty :

The facility members are experts at their respective fields. There's a mentor assigned to every student who will guide them through there journey. They are extremely approachable and always readily working to help the students. Doubt closing classes are conducted on student's demand ( both offline and online modes)

Other Applied Colleges

KIIT School of Management - [KSOM] | Master of Business Administration [MBA]

The course fee is high but the rate of investment is not worth it.

I give 3 out of 5 stars because 100% of people will get placed but the salary is not that high and also the job description is not that good. But when it's come to the Tier-2 MBA schools It's is doing best.

After 3rd semester you will get the chance to opt for placement. This college doesn't provide much placement but it's better than other government colleges. As there is a lockdown since 2020, this year students didn't get much chance for placement.
