Dislikes
- Management is bad. Everything is sort of rushed here and students concerns are washed over deaf ears
- No schedule for exams which results in delayed examinations. Our exams are delayed by over 8 months and now I fear I will not get degree on time to get admission in Masters
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculam consists of 3 core subjects each semester. The courses are bare minimum and wont teach you much. Also the courses are kind of out dated and irrelevant to current scenario. They are still teaching Visual Basic. The curriculum still do make you prepared for real world scenarios but you are on your own for most part. You will get basics done. So if you want to invest most of your time on your own personal development and minimum time on your college then you can go for this university. The exams aren't scheduled properly and often gets delayed. Also instead of taking exams semester-wise they prefer taking exams yearly.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee is not much. It is around 20,000 rupees per year. Also since its a government university, there is no fee hike since I got admission here. The total cost will be 60,000 rupees for the course and you will have to manage your other expenses yourself. They do provide hostel services. The university does not provide any sort of scholarships but there are plenty of third party scholarships which will help you. There are no campus employements here, so there is nothing to say about that
Campus Life :
The campus life is pretty boring if I say. There are practically 0 festivals. Even festivals where there should be celerations are just pushovers, sort of ritualistic and nothing more There is no library to turn to. You will have to buy books or join some library outside of university The only technological provision within the classroom we have is a projector which makes lectures abit easier for the professors.
Admission :
They eligibility for course is that you should have taken mathematics in your intermediate and your overall marks should be above 50%. To get admission you will have to visit colleges affiliated with university in person as there is no online application service. You get direct admission based on your marks and a short interview at the college. There is no entrance exams for admission. To improve admission process, online application service should be started along with an entrance exam
Faculty :
There are less than 1 faculty member for every 100 students. It results in somewhat bad learning experience. So if you are mediocre in studies then you will have tough time. Faculties are trying to do their best at teaching and are helpful although small number of them is a concern. You can interact with teachers almost anytime during the day and they will be willing to get to you and help you
