  • The condition of the sports ground is very bad.The cricket pitch is not also good as it has a lots of cracks in it.There is also uneven terrain in the ground as it has uneven patches in the ground. There is lack of Air conditioners in the classrooms.
  • In the college the compulsory attendance is such a big headache for the students. The administration do not understand the situation the student is going through like the student is pursuing another professional degree such as Chartered Accountant etc

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course that I opted for is very great at this point of time as it will help in development of my nation. The curriculum is very good with practical execution of the concepts what we were taught in the lectures.Exam took place once in six months. The paper level is not so hard but it is challenging one.One who had studied the concepts well can score good marks. The curriculum we study is apt and it also develop us for the real life situations and how to deal with different circumstances like the behaviour at the professional workplace.

Internships Opportunities :

There are various internship opportunities provided to us by the college. The Avenue - our placements and internship cell looks into this matter.Companies like ICICI, Zomato, etc gives us various internship opportunities depending on the different domains like Marketing, Human resource management , Finance helping us to gain experience at the workplace. The stipend for the internships ranges according to the nature of the internship that is whether it is on the site internship or work from home.Usually the work from home internship has a lower stipend.

Placement Experience :

Our college provides us with the placement opportunities as well as internships. Our placement cell -"The Avenues" looks in the work related to placements, internships opportunities. The students get placement after completing their graduation, however to gain experience they can go for the internship opportunities. Many multinational companies companies like ICICI, Zomato, HP etc. come into our college for recruitment. The average placement after bachelors degree is 7LPA however it varies from course to course.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Basically our course is under the New Education policy and we had two options either we can complete our graduation in three year and get the degree or we can also go for the 4 year graduation course getting the degree with research on the specific domain. The fee structure for the 3 year graduation is around 39000 and for the 4 year graduation programme the fee is 52000 Yes the campus provides us with the scholarship and financial aids to the students. There was seperate examination fee which differs on the selection of the subjects. There is no admission fee in the college. The college offer some kind of fee concession also. The eligibility criteria for the fee concession is not very clear. There are some fee differences between students from different categories. Students belonging to General Category usually have the highest fees. There's talk to fee hike also which lowers the moral of some students as not all can afford a higher fee. Overall the fee structure is decent.

Campus Life :

Our campus is one of the best campus in University of Delhi. The annual fest take place in the month of April every year.It is a two-three day fest.We also have good infrastructural facilities such as the Library, Seminar Hall, auditoriums, Gymnasium,Sports complex. Our college is full of greenery which is important for us as well as for the environment too. There are also a number of socities in our college such as Enactus ,Kartavya, NSS,NCC ,Bhoomi the ecology club etc, that conduct a lot of programmes in the college

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is in our college area only.We are provided with highly ventilated rooms. The meal quality is very good. The mess workers cook food with great dedication.Everyday there something new in the meal with a desert with the dinner everyday.Hostel is allocated to the students on the basis of their CUET scores.

Admission :

For the eligibility of Economics Honours the student has to study mathematics in grade 12.Our admission was based on our CUET scores which was held nation wide.We have to appear for two domain subjects plus English and Mathematics which are compulsory. Our score in these 4 subjects will decide our admission. There are also the reservation benefits for the categories such as the SC's,ST's,EWS and OBC's.The examinations take place twice a year happening once in a 6 months with a good level of paper.

Faculty :

In our college we have got highly qualified, dedicated and highly experienced faculty in each course. They all had the qualifications of Master and PHDs in their specific Domain. The way they teach is really good and they cover the syllabus and the curriculum with ease and comfort.Their approach is very satisfactory and it helps in understanding the concepts very well. There is also good interaction with the teachers with a good approachability. The faculty to student ratio is 1: 25 .which is very good.It also makes to understand the concept taught in the college and easy to learn the concepts. The approach of the faculty for teaching is very practical and they teach with full dedication and true spirit which makes it easy for the student to grab the learnings of the domain.

Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Remarks:

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.
