Dislikes
- When you are a freshie you have to face a lot of restrictions for starting 3 month but it's for your benifit to save from ragging.
- As a fitness and sports freak, 1 thing that I criticise that it don't give much opportunities for sports!!
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our college provides practical-based knowledge in its curriculum. It completely follows the new NMC guidelines. Teachers use different types of techniques for teaching like Sgt SGL tutorials etc. Weekly and monthly tests happen in our college which is moderately difficult.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For 1st year fee is 47k for general category and around 35 k for sc/st. And it gets reduces for further years. Our college provide scholarship to their students. In which your 80-90 % money will be refunded. So by this , your complete cost of education is around 1 lakh rs. They provide internship to they student in which stipend of 15 k given to interns.
Campus Life :
Our college fest name is Rapsody. It happened around month of September and October. We have a very huge central library. Every book or journal you want will be available in that Library. Classrooms are fully air conditioned. And faculty uses digital board in place of projector. Ans it also has good sound management. College mainly focus on acedmics . It doesn't provide much opportunities to show your game to high levels . No, there is not any type of club run in our college.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is same as any other medical College. For the 1st year they provide you double seated room and from further years you will be shifted to single seated . Meal quality is better than expected in hostle mess and different type of meals fixed to different days of weeks. The registration process is easy for hostel . It costs 4800 for 1 year excluding mess charges .
Admission :
If I talk about cut off of 2023 than it's 665 for general category in the state quota and 690 for aiq. There is reservation available in our college. They take weekly and monthly test that is moderately difficult. If you prepare well, difficulty doesn't matter. The application process is easy but slightly hectic coz it's a long process.
Faculty :
I love 1 thing about kgmu that it has really great teachers, very experienced. That really help students. Faculty is very approachable and friendly. Even after having large no. Of 250 student in a batch,they can focus on individuals. Faculty is Excellent in both quality and quantity. 2-3 teachers per batch always available for your help. Ratio of faculty and students is 1:10 . They uses different type of techniques for teaching like , Sgt , sgl, flip classes, tutorials, early clinical exposure, lectures and much more. There is a mentor-mentee program also run in our college. In which mentor provided to each mentee. And you can discuss you any type of problem with him.
