  • Student politics is not healthy, inner staff politics in departments

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is very relevant. Considering the whole syllabus for civil services aspect, the subjects and the curriculum are both perfectly designed. The difficulty level of exam is moderate. The things are totally offline. I would suggest to start online teaching as well.

Internships Opportunities :

The students can do internship wherever they want. All the firms and companies and institutes which provide subject related internships can be chosen. Students have done internship in PGI Chandigarh, Government college and hospital in sector 32 Chandigarh, any NGOs etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fee is submitted in two installments. 11000 in first installment and 3000 approx in next semester i.e. second installment. Examination fee is also charged separately i.e. approx 2500 rs. Students have to do compulsory internship for 1 month after 2nd semester. The students can persue internship in many fields of anthropology such as forensics, physical, growth and nutrition, social, biology, etc.

Campus Life :

There are several clubs. Students can enroll in any club. My overall experience is pretty good. There are sports events on university level as well as department level. 4 official annual fests are also organised by council members. Each fest lasts for 3-4 days. Students get opportunity to take part in youth festivals as well which are at national level. All the students are helpful in nature.

Hostel Facilities :

You can avail hostel- permanent and on guest basis. The hostels are availed on the basis of merit. The fees for permanent hostel is 6000 rs. per semester. And for guest basis is 100 rs. per day + 417 rs. electricity charges. The hostel has facilities such as washing machines , air coolers ( if required at extra charges), beauty parlors, barber shops, washer men/ women, tuck shop, study rooms, common rooms. Each hostel has a mess and canteen. The mess has buffet system. Each meal costs rs. 30-40 rs. depending on the menu.

Admission :

There is no entrance exam currently. You get admission on the basis of your graduation percentage. If the applicant is graduated from any college of Panjab University, then extra 2% marks are awarded. There are other reservations as well such as one girl child, SC, border area student, child of warrior, etc.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is perfect. Though there are seats empty for assistant professors in other departments. The students are free to interact with teachers. Students can approach the professors & other staff in case of any help needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

They include all the relevant subjects to enhance the student's knowledge and skills in this specific stream. They divided each subject into three units which include sub-units, after completion of each unit MST will be conducted, and after the completion of all the units End Sem exams will be conducted. Teachers use aids to deliver their knowledge in the best possible way. They use visual presentations and practical applications of the same in labs. After completion of the first year, You have to choose a specialization in which you further want to continue your course. they offer specialization in clinical and Sports nutrition.

Placement Experience:

The Campus placement are good in Chandigarh University. Each department gets campus placement with a hefty package. All the big MNCs like Google, Deloitte, Accenture, IBM as well as other private companies provide placement through indrive. The highest package offered was 18 lakhs package in the CSE department. Average package offered is around 6-10 lakhs. If anyone doesn't get a placement one can also avail for teaching in the same dept provided the student is post graduate or can also go for phd or research in the same university. Almost 97% students are placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have opted msc in biotechnology so I am studying biotechnology in this college because I have a passion for the field. Biotechnology plays a crucial role in the real world, particularly in areas like vaccine development, where biotechnologists create vaccines to combat epidemics and save lives. My interest in this area drove me to pursue a master's degree in biotechnology. Regarding the exams conducted by the university, I find them to be of moderate difficulty. They are challenging enough for someone studying the subject to attempt successfully.Even i think they should focus more on practical learning in my subject, biotechnology, instead of just exams. Doing things hands-on helps us understand the techniques and processes better.

Placement Experience:

I guess when you are in graduation after your s u become eligible for campus placements and if you are in post graduation after one year or I would say after exactly after your 3 semester zoology for campus placements and I would say that more than 700 companies visit the compass with respect to all the courses are taught the provided the of their and the highest package was 36 hacks for in CSE and I would say the lowest on the average one would be 5 to 6 lakh per annum and 90% class students get a place in Chandigarh University and my plans after my degree is officially for campus placements and government.
