Remarks :

We always had a very good experience and memories of our college Rohini. It is one of the best colleges in Kanyakumari. And it is easy for poor students also to join in Rohini college. Because they will easily arrange your loans, scholarships etc.. Thanks to the college management.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum & Exam Structure both based on Anna university, so there is nothing to do with the college. But in Rohini, the staffs are very good and experienced so the way of teaching is excellent. That's the reason lots of students got placed very easily. Then we need to thank the chairman to provide us very good tech labs for practical. And they always conduct regular exams for everyone and half month.

Placement Experience :

From 2015 to now Rohini college only having the placement record in Kanyakumari. They have a separate office for placement cell, training, interviewing etc. Every final year should attend all the training programs in the college. And Rohini brings more than 50 companies a year for campus interview. So students use this golden chance to pass on the interviews.

College Events :

There is 100's of events happened in the college. like college day, sports day, cultural events etc.. Apart from this, they conduct technical events for students every month. technical events name is TARCET, SPECTRA, RIPPLE etc. Then conducts inter-college technical competitions to grow the knowledge of students.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees structure depends on Anna university standard. I paid 25,000 for the first year. then the transportation charges 15,000 per year. I am a day scholar so I didn't pay hostel and canteen fees. But I receive 27,000 scholarship every year from govt and Rohini trust. From the second years onwards I paid 18,000-course fees and rest if I joined in any other certificate courses like CCNA, Linux etc then that payments are separate from here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Rohini college helps you in getting education loan, scholarships etc. I didn't take the loan but I received 27,000 scholarship. 20,000 from government and 7000 from Rohini Educational trust.

Campus Life :

Campus life in Rohini looks like oxford university, they have very good labs, canteen, food courts, hostel, mess, grounds to play, multi-facility gym, resting rooms, hospitality, etc. All are at a high level and is maintained properly by the administrative staffs.

Alumni/Alumna :

Rohini having one room office for Alumni association. Apart from this, we connected through Facebook groups and WhatsApp groups. It is really very useful to share our ideas and knowledge.

Admission :

I applied for the Anna university counseling by using the cutoff mark I got on 12th Exam. They called me for the counseling on the month of July 2014. There I selected Rohini Engineering college. Then I came to the home and went to one college for admission after a week when they called me. I paid the fees amount of 25,000 and got admission.

Faculty :

Our staffs are very educated and experienced. Rohini college always hires experienced staffs so that they can train the students very well. And all staffs need to report to the Head of the Department every day. So every day the classes will be interested in new things to learn.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
