    Course Curriculum Overview :

Economics Honours is one of the most sought after courses of the Delhi University. Our curriculum is designed to help us gain theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Internal exams are regularly conducted so that we stay on track with our work.

    Internships Opportunities :

Internships are offered by companies such as Lenskart, Economic Times, Urban Company, etc. in the domains of Business Development, Finance, Consulting and many more. Various corporate collaborations and training and development initiatives are also a part of the memorable college experience.

    Placement Experience :

Internships are offered from the first year of college. Students can sit for placements from the 5th semester. Recruiters such as D.E. Shaw & Co., PwC, EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. are a part of the placement process.

    Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fees is affordable for a majority of the students in the college. However, for those that may find it difficult, scholarship schemes are also present which can be availed at the beginning of the year.

    Campus Life :

The annual fest is held during the month of April-May. Other fests of various societies are held during February and March. Our college has various student-run societies such as the Ramjas Consulting Society, Enactus, Illuminer Counsel, etc.

    Admission :

To get into Delhi University, we had to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The registration of the examination to the final results was a lengthy process and took quite a few months.

    Faculty :

Almost all of our faculty have a PHD in their specific domains. Their way of teaching helps us understand the subject in an easier way. Our faculty is very approachable as we can easily reach out to them when we want their help.

    Placement Experience:

Sri Venkateswara College provides placements for Science and Commerce Students, not for BA Students. The college has a good record in the placement cell. I am an Arts student so I don't have any placement. So I choose UPSC as my career option. I will try until I succeed.

Placement cells do not provide placements to English graduates. Only a few companies came to hire English graduates. I'm planning to do a master's or B.Ed to secure a career in teaching after my graduation.

6th-semester students are eligible to apply for campus placements. Companies like Bains and Co., KPMG, etc visit our college. Some are known and some unknown. I did not participate in campus placements as I decided to go for higher studies.

    Remarks:

The college is good and faculty teacher is very helpful and the canteen is great. The playground is very big and clean. College has many societies. Admission process is merit based and first cum basis.

    Admission:

No, because my admission merit based and my performance and sc quota so I can't face any group discussion, interview, or written tests. My result calculation is sufficient to get admission.

    Remarks:

The college is excellent when it comes to academic excellence though it lacks a bit in infrastructure and placements.

    Admission:

After giving my 12th class board exams I was looking at potential places to do my graduation from and Delhi University and Jamia millia islamia were on the top of my list due to their reputation and excellent national rankings. I ended up choosing jamia because it had the reputation for being very academics oriented and having a sincere student body. The fact that jamia has an entrance exam was also a draw for me as it ensured my peers were selected on the basis of stiff competition ensuring I got the best environment to pursue my academics.Jamia conducts its entrance exam around june-july with admissions taking place in august. The admission process is pretty straightforward and most of the process such as registration and payment of fees is online. The final registration is done in person in the university itself. Original documents such as 10th and 12th marksheets are required as well as character certificate and school leaving certificate. The list of required documents is available on the university website.
