- Some faculty members are not good but students can't do anything about them.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is moderately rated at 5 out of 10. While it holds potential, its effectiveness is compromised by faculty members who lack seriousness in teaching. Some professors simply provide notes for exam preparation rather than delivering proper instruction. In terms of tourism management, there are deficiencies such as the absence of practical classes and study tours in the first year. Conversely, the geography component offers a richer experience with numerous practical opportunities. However, given that the course is combined(Geography tourism and travel management), students must endure the shortcomings of the tourism management faculty throughout the three-year duration.
Placement Experience :
The college provides abundant placement opportunities, with eligibility typically starting in the 6th semester. The highest package reaches 6.5 LPA, while the average stands at 4.5 LPA for undergraduates. MY post-graduation plan involves pursuing further education.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is reasonable, starting at approximately 70000 in the first year, decreasing to 40000 in the second year, and rising to around 60000 in the third year. Additional expenses apply for hostel accommodation, although it's considered better than other private colleges, providing a rewarding experience termed as "halls" at this college. Scholarships are available for high-achieving students, Christians, and those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. While the college offers moderate employment opportunities, most students opt for higher education. Nevertheless, a few third-year students have secured placements in companies, and notable achievements include a senior NCC cadet securing a position in the BSF.
Campus Life :
The campus life at this college is vibrant and fulfilling. Various communities like NCC, NSS, THE SCRUB SOCIETY, and START-UP COMMUNITY offer students opportunities for engagement, with credit points awarded for active participation. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the multiple grounds and courts available, including football, basketball (both indoor and outdoor), cricket, badminton, tennis, and kabaddi. The college is renowned for its festivals, which are celebrated throughout the year, providing ample opportunities for students to participate in various events. The library is well-stocked, providing a conducive environment for studying. The infrastructure of the college is aesthetically pleasing, with a serene environment enhanced by lush greenery. Overall, the college offers a diverse range of activities and amenities, contributing to a fulfilling campus experience.
Admission :
The admission process comprised two straightforward steps: an online phase followed by an offline verification at the college admission office. Online, we submitted our qualifications, made registration payments, and selected desired courses, paying for each separately. Upon selection, a confirmation email arrived, prompting full payment for the semester, in my case, totalling 49000. The offline verification, involving parents, ensured document authenticity.
