Course Curriculum Overview :

MBBS is a 4.5 year course and an additional internship period of 1 year thus 5.5years in total . to be in the best college in our state with the highest outpatient rate is advantageous to students in terms of acquiring clinical exposure which most of the medical collleges lack....and the faculties too are top level with immense experience and knowledge

Internships Opportunities :

after 4.5 years of MBBS there is an internship program lasting 1 year and considering the heavy patient load in our hospital it is very difficult for an intern to be peaceful sometimes we have to work all day

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

i belong to general category , Annual tuition fee = 27000 Hostel fee=13000 (1st year) ~10000 for rest of years reservation categories neither require tuition fees nor hostel fee . various other scholarships like e grants and moma are available for eligible students

Campus Life :

Calicut medical college has the largest campus area when compared to other medical colleges almost 150acres. Campus life???? there are various clubs and activities. Library 8/10 Classrooms 7/10 And we have various programs in our college like inter batch college day ...where students gets the opportunity to showcase their talents

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is available.....though the building is very old the rooms are not as bad as we expect ...we have to adjust with 4 students per room in men's hostel in first year and the number of students per room decreases each year ...we have a mess , a TV room , washing machine for every floor and tt room

Admission :

After clearing NEET entrance exam with an AIR 1850 ,i registered for state allotment in KEAM website ( My NEET 2022 score was 667) . i had a kerala rank of 108 ,then comes the allotment process ....Calicut medical college is one of the top medical colleges in our country and stands at top of list in terms of admission last rank and obviously only the students with best rank gets there . i got allotted to CMC in the 1st allotment itself .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college has a very good teaching approaches . Monthly exams will be conducted for a said topic and the students who got the lowest mark will be better focused by the faculty so that they can improve their performance.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is too heavy and there is lot to learn . Since it is based on helping people I chose this course. And the curriculum is set in such away that we were trained to face health problems in real world in real time. The final year time duration can be increased since there are 6 subjects which are too hard. There will be 3 internal assessment in which total of no less 40 percent should be scored in both theory and practical only then you will be permitted to write the University Exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is mainly focussing on academics . There is also sports and arts including competition but they are not supporting the students. The question paper difficulty is of moderate type and can pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We were brought into the new CBME curriculum. Even the faculty finds it hard to comply with as it is a new system. There are a lot of small group discussions and self directed learning programmes that consider the teacher as just a facilitator and students are meant to learn with the guidance of the facilitator.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is very esteemed profession and we have the lives of people in our hands. Curriculum very well prepares us for real world applications if we put effort from our side too. Faculties need to be more student friendly though.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Why MBBS because it has been my dream since of I was kid and I’m glad that I made it this far. Each batch in my college have 250 students and for every 25 students one faculty would be given as mentor, whom we can approach for any of queries. Apart from that practical and clinical postings are really fascinating. We would have year exams as to qualify each year, and a few internal exams every 2-3 months. And these exams I wouldn’t put it too tough that we have to give our 100% of time for only studies but nor too easy. If we put a moderate effort for studies we are soo good to go.
