Course Curriculum Overview :

Since there is lack of awareness if oral health, manipal provide you a wide range of opportunities. With a lot of patient load, you would find yourself treating a lot of patient since each department get roughly more than 200 patient with staff guidance. My only improvement it that manipal could offer more opportunities with present day trends- following the international record. Since there are three internal following university exam, the exam are designed tough but with regular attendance in class and review your content everyday, you won't have any hassel

Internships Opportunities :

There is internship provided by mcods with international collaboration with 2 week exchange program with Boston University, Malaysia, Japan and King college of London . You can go and learn with other international college and expand your knowledge

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The tuition fee for present academic year stand by 5 lakh per annum, but during the covid time, the price had hiked to 6.9 lakh. The complete cost of my education comes around 6.9 lakh with a compensation fee od intital 10k. Though these all could be rebuted if you have a rank of below 50,000 with full scholarship aid where you don't have to pay any penny to college. The employment in this college is good with good patient load with a stipend of 20k

Campus Life :

There are lots of event in manipal, you will never find a day where there is no event. From utsav to hues to invictus to denthathalon to mdc conference, to concert to exchange programmes Manipal have a library having 5 floor holding more than 10k books with a nice comfy environment. There is marina, gym swimming for your extra curricular activities Clubs are no less with nashe mukt club, nor the dance club, mime club, mchord club, photography club

Hostel Facilities :

There are separate boys and girls hostel also along with international hostel. Since I reside in international hostel, it like a mini apartment type, with a single room with attached bathroom and utility area provided where you can cook The mess of NIH hostel offer a variety of dishes with hygienic measures. The process of acquiring hostel is simple, just go to manipal edu building and sort your hostel facilities

Hostel Fee : INR 170000 per year

Admission :

The eligibility of this course requires you to pass neet ug exam with a minimum percentile of 50. Since being an international college, for a placement here, a minimum of 75 percentile is necessary. You can find the application form in the official site of mahe, though for health care professions, after the nta allot you seat, you will get the mail and you complete the application process alonf with fee payment in the college itself with the staff guiding you The frequency of exam and timing usually it fall on may , every 1st week of Sundays. Since it am entrance exam, you can consider the exam to get tough, keeping in mind that this cover both 11 and 12th portion For me, the admissions process went smooth enough, so I don't think there is any improvement required

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspects of the curriculum that mainly influenced my decision to choose this course are the equal ratio of theoretical as well as practical training, and we get early clinical exposure when compared with other medical degrees. Through clinical rotations in various departments, students gain experience in diagnosing, scaling procedures, extractions, and restorations. But advanced procedures like lasers, implants, clear aligners, etc are out of the reach of the students. Another good thing is the enhancement of soft skills like communication, patient management, and ethical practise, these are very important for maintaining patient trust. Areas of improvement are management should incorporate more advanced digital dentistry tools and technologies in the curriculum. This could prepare the students for constantly evolving dentistry. The college conducts 3 internal theoretical as well as practical exams before the main University exam.

Clinical exposure and patient focused approach

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus has included compulsory clinical practicals from 3rd year. The OP flow and vast exposure you'll get to have in Oral surgery, conservative dentistry, Prosthodontics, and Oral medicine make AB Shetty one of the most sought-after dental college in india. Teachers are very guiding in clinical, which is what prepares you to be a doctor with apt and profound clinical knowledge and a sense of diagnosis. College is conducting terminal sessions of exams followed by university examinations by the end of the academic year.
