Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum deals with the modern world electronics and communication engineering systems which includes VLSI design, wireless communication, Analog electronics and so on The curriculum prepares you really well for the real-world applications in the sector of semiconductors, chips, microprocessors, and VLSI and it also prepares you for higher studies in these topics The course can be improved more by befitting the opportunities of internship in the course The exams take place after the end of every semester which is of 6 months and the difficulty level of these exams would be moderate if you are regular with the classes.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees is around 44,000/- to 45,000/- per semester. The whole course comprises of 8 semesters. There are charges regarding maintenance, registration etc. in the beginning of the first semester which the candidate needs to pay. A student can avail SVMCM Scholarship if he/she is a West Bengal domicile which provides with 60,000/- per year scholarship money. A domicile West Bengal student can also avail the West Bengal Student Credit Card for education loan at a 4% interest rate where the guarantor will be the government.
Campus Life :
The library is big and contains a vast collection of books and journals. There are a lot of clubs dedicated to a lot many particular fields. So if a student wants to nurture and cherish his/her passion, this campus provides with all sorts of opportunities for that.
Admission :
The mode of admissions are through JEE Main, WBJEE and Direct admissions. There are 80% seats reserved for WBJEE Candidates, 10% for JEE Main Candidate and 10% for direct admissions. The WBJEE exam is conducted around the month of April every year. WBJEE is a moderate to difficult level entrance exam and securing a rank around 3000 to 7000 can ensure you a seat of Electronics and communication engineering in this college.
