- Campus since IIT -Delhi have small campus but it very greenish and doesn't feel small.
- Sports facilities, as we can play any games.
Dislikes
- Courses schedule and timetable, we have exams in every two to three weeks
- Hostel facility , as we have triple sharing it is sometimes feel conjusted.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I think the curriculum is very outdated.This does not mean that all courses are bad some courses are not useful. Talking about faculty, the faculty is awesome , they are very good in their subject but they can't teach well , they just come and explain without caring that anybody understanding or not.
Internships Opportunities :
Some companies that have offer internship with stipend at IIT Delhi in the past include Google ,Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman sach, Intel, Qualcomm, IBM ,Tata consultancy service, Hindustan Unilever limited . Roles offered may vary widely across engineering, computer science, management and other fields. The OCS of IIT Delhi is responsible for providing internship .
Placement Experience :
Student become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Companies visited for placement are Microsoft, Google, Amazon, CISCO, Accenture, HCL technologies, McKinsey& company, Jaguar Land Rover India limited. Around 1000+ offers from 500+ companies Came for IIT Delhi students. According to 2023 data, highest package is 2.5 crore per annum while the average package is 17.7 LPA. Percentage of students got placed is 85%. Since I am first year student of dual degree in chemical engineering so I will seek a core company which can provide me a good package and also I will try for IT companies as a software developer.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee structure is as follows:- Tution fee-100000 Other fee-35000 Hostel fee-38000 Also fee waiver in tution fees are provided for students whose family income is less than 5 lakhs. And many scholarships are available which have different criteria, the institute inform about scholarship on the institute email id.
Campus Life :
annual and technical festivals:- Rendezvous (October) Tryst(March) Becon(February Literati(January) Library is full of books , have encyclopaedia and books on every topic. The library also showcase newly arrived books. In my institute, library building have 3 floors and have proper space for reading. On exam time, the library floods with students. The classroom are well equipped with cameras, projectors ,A.C , speakers. Also the professor provide lecture notes. IIT-Delhi have almost all sports , having hockey ground running track, Cricket ground, Basketball court, football ground ,swimming pool, lawn tennis and volleyball court. The college support extracurricular activities, provide workshop on dance, singing etc and also participate in many competition inside and outside delhi. Also we have many clubs like Dance club, Music club, FAAC, Drama club, robotics, Aerodynamic and many more. Student run group are BSW, BSP, BHM they connect student with the authority.
Hostel Facilities :
We have triple sharing room in first and second year and the room have a chair, table, almira, fan,bed. Meal quality is is just average, it get very nice for some days and some days it is not well. For registration process of Hostel, we have to choose that we want to avail hostel then suddenly a mail comes XYZ hostel is allotted to you and then you have to pay the fees online to book the seat. Since I am new to Delhi so don't know much about renting. But IIT-Delhi situated in South Delhi and also jiyasarai and kathwariyasarai located near to this.
Admission :
The admission process is not very much complicated, we have to keep our documents ready and the required documents are listed on official website.On the registration day, each branch has given its time and the student have to go to particular room where they will be provided temporary ID cards and then biometric will done and done. Talking about reservation , in my case I think it is good for a student who belongs to middle class family as they get fee waiver in IIT's also there is not any discrimination and the authority is very serious about discrimination The frequency of exams is very high every week in first year we have 3 labs of around 3-4 hours after this in every 2 week we have quizzes after in the Middle of the semester we have our minors. After this we get holidays which includes Saturday Sunday.
