- Course is affordable . The course is really cheap as compared to other places.
- Infrastructure is almost good to go. We have our horticulture research centre in a large area.
Dislikes
- Inadequate faculty. There are sometimes phd students taking our classes.
- Less exposure to lab work and higher exposure to small field work like weeding or sowing.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Horticulture has never ending scope which is the biggest boon in this course. It is mainly a practical course and it really helps in improving the practical knowledge but in my college the practical experience is less as we get less exposure to lab work. Exams frequency is high.
Internships Opportunities :
There is internship in the 8th semester for a duration of 3 months in rural areas which is a must for the students to pass. There are different places where the students can go for internship. No company visits the place particularly.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per year fee is very low that is only ?3000 . Student can apply for scholarship in their first year only. If not applied in first year you won't be able to avail it. One can avail the state scholarship of their respective state. Their almost no placement but as our course is 4 year duration it have a internship program of 3 months in the 8th semester.
Campus Life :
There are festivals organized in the campus but it is not on such big scale also it maily represents the pahadi culture that is the culture of uttarakhand when there are soo many students from outside the state. It must be a little more comfortable to others. Being an outsider here is difficult.
Admission :
I got admission through cuet exam. I had 60 percentile. I was benefitted with obc female quota . There's many vacant seats still in my course. Exams are easy to be done but too lengthy as in horticulture the subjects are up to 9 and 10 per semester accompanied with practical exams it causes very exhausting exam period.
