Remarks :

The college management is quite flexible in our college. We have freedom inside the campus to explore ourselves even more. The extent of strictness on ragging and other activities even makes it a heaven for freshers especially.

Entrance Preview :

I scored 94% in the class 12th CBSE board exam, qualified JEE MAIN with 128 marks. I also qualified SNUSAT, the entrance exam of SNU and took admission here. The multidisciplinary curriculum attracted me towards SNU. The infrastructure and the freedom the student body gets here in terms of academics and other imp decision making is appreciable.

Course Curriculum Overview :

We are allowed to choose any minor degree besides graduating with a minor. A student majoring in let's say, Mechanical Engg has the option to have a minor degree in sociology, English, history, economics, maths, physics, CSE, electrical, etc. The faculty is decent. The admin is also trying hard every year to make the overall curriculum student friendly.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, it does. I myself got a PPO internship at DAIKIN this summer, 2018. The CDC team is trying hard every year to get more and number of students get selected in the core and non-core internships through college.

Placement Experience :

It's a research-oriented university. Most of the students opt for higher studies. Placement for CSE is quite good. Though the core branches are still struggling both students and admin are trying to improve the situation every year. We are also given practice assignments by CDC (career development center) as per our branch to prepare during our summer vacations.

College Events :

Annual fest, BREEZE INTRA FEST every march. Intra and inter sports fest Singing, dancing, poetry, stand up comedy events by the respective clubs all throughout the year. Though most of the clubs are inactive in the quizzing society, dance and music society, drama society is quite active and regularly come up with the variety of events.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It's feasible. Most of the students get a scholarship. I got a B scholarship and my fees for the 4 years combined is 7 lakh rupees which includes everything from a mess, laundry, hostel, etc. If you fail to get 6.5 SGPA in a semester, you lose your scholarship for the next sem. You can, however, gain the scholarship again if you get 6.5 and above sgpa next semester.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I scored 94% in CBSE class 12th board and got a B scholarship. Anyone above 90%(cbse) gets B scholarship. Above 94% you get A scholarship. Above 85% you get C scholarship. This greatly reduces the overall fees you have to actually pay here. I am speaking only about cbse. State and other boards also have different criteria for a scholarship.

Campus Life :

Campus life is one of the best that you can expect. There is np in timings to the hostel neither for boys nor for girls. The gender ratio is maintained here. We have 280 girls out of 620 total students for my batch(2019). You get students from all the states here. In my batch, we have students from 22 states of our country. Robotics club is not active. The clubs organizes many activities throughout the year and take up students as their member almost every semester. Labs are at par with IIT'.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are really good. Quad sharing in 1st year, twin sharing in 2nd and 3rd year and single rooms in a 4th year. You can get almost everything here that you can expect in an Indian Dhaba. Quality of the food is also good except for some rare occasions do the students have complaints regarding the taste. Also, there is no in-time or out-time in the hostel for boys and girls.

Alumni/Alumna :

It is a new college and hence it is in the process of building a strong alumni network. Seniors are helpful. There is no culture of Ragging in our university. The seniors and juniors often work together in clubs, sports, etc.

Exam Structure :

The mid semester exams are hectic. Most students get 2 or even 3 in a day. Admin should seriously look into it. End semester is nicely spread in the scheduled dates. Teachers often take regular quizzes, assignments to keep students in track though it often gets hectic.

Admission :

I wrote SNUSAT and qualified to took admission here. The exam consisted of aptitude questions related to PCM, assertion reason type, quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning questions along with writing 2 essays. The form we submitted before giving SNUSAT also had a good weightage in determining the overall score for the exam. The form enquires about all your extra cocurricular activities, achievements, certificates, academics.

Faculty :

Almost all the faculties teaching are Ph.D. They are proficient in the field and extensively involved in their research work. Though considering only teaching, I would rate them 7/10. The faculty push students towards research projects. Every individual is free to have an OUR(opportunity for undergrad research) paper presented and published in the first 3 years besides final year project
