  • mid exam schedules, we have 2 exams per day its hard to manage.

Course Curriculum Overview :

i choose this course because i was very passionate about life sciences and biotechnology. my department (msc biotechnology not included) has 6 lectures. 3 classes(180 students). we have well qualified lectures with master's and doctoral degrees. term exams were hard to cope up in the beginning but, it got better eventually.

Placement Experience :

for my department, campus drives started from the 5th semester. there weren't any much companies related to Biotechnology visited. but there were so many companies with better packages visited for management and commerce students. im currently planning on changing my field from life sciences to management. so im looking for job/course related to that.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

you are supposed to pay the fee for entire 1st year when you get the admission. then you can pay 2 times from 2nd semester. it was 54k in the first year now i pay 62k for the final year. about the campus drives. there are no good companies for life sciences. literally nothing. i mean, bachelor's in life sciences isn't really gonna fetch you a job anyways.

Campus Life :

RESONANCE, is an intercollegiate fest conducted every year, usually in the month of December. it is the event to showcase all our cultural talents honestly an amazing opportunity for the students. the sports team in loyola is very active. they have equal opportunities for men and women. class rooms and labs provided for us were okay, it can be improved though. i see they're working towards it now. and, just not the resonance loyola has a lot of other departmental fest, which encourages students to actively involve in social/ cultural activities. Student committees like nss, ncc, magic youth, aicuf and the students council has selective members elected by the management and deans based on their excellence give a great opportunity of social exposure and personality development.

Admission :

admission process was pretty easy, application form is available on the college website. eligibility criteria for my course was 65% aggregate in intermediate/12th board in BIPC. there was a general online exam, followed by a personal interview if you qualify the exam. the entire process took around 20 days.

Interview Experience :

no, there was just an personal interview for admission. no group discussions. basic questions related to the subject were asked. if you qualify the admission exam, you're pretty much into the college. just have to he confident and well prepared with the basics of the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose biotechnology in my bachelor's because if it comes to the science stream in 12th most of us try to get a medical seat due to tough competition and lack of knowledge we may not get the medicine seat. In that case, we have to choose another course i have chosen biotechnology to prior my master too in it and develop my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The practical knowledge I could say is good enough to gain knowledge in this field but compared to the btech biotech BSc includes comparatively less practical training. We were only given glimpse and theory of specific experiments due to unavailability of certain equipments. Exams are however manageable to certain extent but comparing to other life sciences this course is bit difficult to deal with.
