Remarks :

The application process involves filling up a form on XISS website. Then the registration fees have to paid. The students are shortlisted based on their performance in the national level entrances like CAT,XAT,CMAT,etc. The GDPI process is held for shortlisted candidates, and then the final selection.Cut off is 60+ in entrance test scores for HRM program, and 35+ for other programs. BBA,BCOM or any equivalent UG degree with a minimum aggregate of 55%(50% in case of SC/ST). The application form, application fees and application dates can be found in the official XISS website, and various other websites. Nothing at present

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have an interest in Marketing, that's why I chose this course. The faculty student ratio is 1:9,that is,1 faculty for every 9 students. The faculty members are highly qualified, having degrees from IITs,some of them having PhD too,and all of them have vast experience. The teaching method is both traditional and modern, involving smart classes, books, and other resource materials, apart from various other activities such as field work, rural visit, etc. The term exams happened as per schedule. The level of difficulty was moderate.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are in abundance, and in the end,all the students get internship offers from one or the other company.Various companies like Borosil,Tata AIG,Tata Steel,Eupheus Learning, among others visit the campus regularly for internships. The roles vary, and so do the stipend, depending upon various factors, like the company policy, program from which they are recruiting, etc.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th trimester Visiting companies include ICICI Prudential,Tata AIG,Tata Steel Downstream, Whirlpool, among others. So far, almost 50% students have been placed. The percentage of students getting placed every year is more than 85%. My plan is to get placed in a reputed company after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid :

The total fee is divided into 6,one for each trimester. The fee hike policy is simple and not too much.Cost to study is cheaper in XISS compared to other B-Schools.It is around 15 lakhs for two years. There are various scholarships for various achievements. There is no financial assistance.Campus placement is really good, with some famous companies like Borosil,Tata AIG,Tata Steel,Aditya Birla among the recruiters.

Campus Life :

The Annual Fest of XISS is called Panache, and it is held in February. The library is vast, catering to all the programs of XISS.It includes books and journals related to all the subjects taught in the institute. It also has online facilities and tie ups with other sites to cater to the demand of students. The classrooms have all the amenities, including smart class facilities, proper working lights and fans, comfortable chairs, etc. The bathrooms are well maintained too. There is a sports week held every year, which involves various indoor and outdoor sports like cricket, badminton, carrom, chess, etc.Apart from that, the college offers sports facilities to the general players too all the year round, and they can avail of it after class hours. There is no dearth of extra curricular activities, with one or more events happening almost every month. There are various clubs in XISS,namely EMBARK,OBSCURA,AAWAZ,among others, and alse there are clubs based on programs too, like MARKBUZZZ for Marketing, etc

Interview Experience :

There is a a GD and PI round for final selection. The GD topics are pretty generic, everyone can participate and voice their opinions. The interview questions are in par with other B-Schools,ranging from academic knowledge to basic HR questions like why MBA,Why XISS,etc. Mock GD and Mock Interviews help a lot in this process. Also, having some basic knowledge about what is happening in the world, and having good communication skills ensure that you are selected.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Fate, I just slipped in the name of the college, 'social service'. Never do that mistake. That too if u r experienced, Please do not even see the college website. I chose rural management, funny. 75 students in a class. 6-7 faculty in the department. Half of the faculty doesn't speak proper English. There is a lady called Aditi who is placement coordinator. She cannot speak a word in English. She is the placement coordinator.... just imagine situation of the placement. In the second year of the college, from each department, a placement representative will be selected through election. All the PRs should work under her. That's the horrible part. She is a coordinator but acts like a gangster. U cannot call her with name. In 2020, that too a professional course, u cannot call anybody with name. Same old slave mentality. U should call by mam and sir. She ruined my entire second year because I was a non hindi speaking student. Teaching faculties are well qualified but 1940-50 methodologies

Placement Experience:

The placements and internship opportunities are excellent here. After three months you get the summer internship and after the internship, some 50% get pre-placement offers and the rest are placed in their 5th semester. There is no one left behind without placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good. It focuses on practical learning from case studies of Ivey Business Schools. The electives and specialization have to be chosen in the second year. We can specialize in 2 courses of our choice in the second year.

Fantastic college, facilities, atmosphere, faculty and peer network. Only disadvantage that the campus faces is that it is located in Jamshedpur, so it means a fair bit of travel to reach there from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore or Hyderabad.

Remarks:

My overall remarks about this college is good. however I just want to give one suggestion that it should grow its infrastructure as space available is not much. for example play ground is there but very small and library is attached with computer lab.
