Course Curriculum Overview :

I graduated as an agriculture student and was interested in working in companies that are related to the course so I think Agri-Business Management was the best fit. One of the standout features is the commitment of out faculty to offer guidance on academic matters, internships, and beyond. The professors are not only highly knowledgeable but also stay up-to-date of the industry trends. What sets our faculty apart is their distinguished academic background, with many being alumni of prestigious instituitions such as IIMs, IRMA, IIT. There are 4 semester exam which are scheduled every six or four month gap depending on the internship period and mid sem for every semester. The curriculum has general MBA subjects and agri business subjects like supply chain, agri input marketing, agri finance etc and it prepares and helps the student to identify there areas of interest

Internships Opportunities :

Roles offered during internships are sales, market research, supply chain and procurement, digital marketing etc in companies like reliance retail, adam, Pan seeds, VNR, Crystal Crop Protection, sammunati finance, amul, etc. I did my internships in Vegrow, OMFED, Crystal Crop Protection.

Placement Experience :

100% Placements and every student gets internship opportunities. Till now, in our 2022-24 batch the highest package is 8.8 LPA, with an impressive average package of 5.5LPA. Companies: FMCG (Adani Wilmar, NDDB, Reliance Retail, ITC, Nestle, Amul, Bisk Farm); Agri Input (Bayer, Adam, UPL, Seed Works, VNR, Pan Seeds, Zydex); Banking and Microfinance (BFIL, HDFC, ICICI Securities, Bandhan, Avanti Finance, Annarpurna); Agritech and supply chain (Big Basket, Dehaat, Vegrow, Mahindra) etc. The emphasis is evident from the very first semester, where the students receive guidance for GD and Mock PI sessions. But formally the placement training starts from second year by KIIT Kareer School having aptitude and psychometric tests and expert guidance on resume and interview etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for the entire course including the hostel and mess facilities, books and laptop etc in total is 7.6 lakhs and is low in cost comparatively to other MBA instituitions. There is no scholarship facility.

Campus Life :

Our university is famous for its happening campus life with a great green campus and world calss infrastructure and sports facilities like gym, swimming pool, basketball court, badminton court etc. Every campus has its own cafeteria. KIIT Fest is the higlight which happens during months of December or Feburary. Our library has books and journals related to the MBA course and industry and additionally KIIT has its huge Central Library also. The classroom are spacious and well equipped with digital boards and air-conditioning. There are 8-9 clubs in my college like placement cell, cultural, newsletter, media, entrepreneurship etc. Besides these every school has its own conclaves, seminars, freshers, farewell etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Being a residential program the hostel is mandatory. I was allocated a double students room and while it wasnt equipped with air conditioning, it offered a comfortable and spacious environment. Despite its relatively modest size, the room has essential amenities like study table and cupboard. The common washrooms are conveniently located. Wi-fi access on each floor. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the four daily meals, surpassing the standards of any other hostels I have experienced. Menu alternated every one to two months. There is no separate registration process everything comes under 7.6 lakhs fees. There is also washing machine facility.

Admission :

All the admission procedures are available on KSRM Admission page, which i used during my admission. I applied through my MAT exam marks but the college also has its own entrance exam that is 'KIITEE' . After that I was shortlisted for GD and PI online. But it can happen both offline and online depending on your location. The form fee was Rs 1000. You can apply for both MBA(ABM) and MBA(RM), if you want.

Interview Experience :

Yes I appeared for GD and PI rounds before admissions. The GD topics are usually related to agriculture current affairs or topics and finance related. In my PI rounds I was asked about basic statistics and economics questions. I prepared for these rounds during the training procedure in my graduation course.

Admission:

The admission process at Astha school of management was very well managed. The process started with the filling up of an online application form and the submission of the test scores of the relevant exams. Several other documents and mark sheets were also required at the time of admission. The teachers and the administration staff had very well managed the entire process. After the counselling sessions, GD and PI sessions were conducted, and a merit list was released considering the scores in all required processes.

Placement Experience:

The placement coordinators ensure a 100% placement record for the college. This was surely an important factor which I considered during my admission time. I have witnessed my seniors getting placed in very good companies in the marketing and finance domains. Some of them even got more than 1 placement offers during the session. The college also works to provide internship opportunities. Some of our professors have also helped us in getting referrals and letter of recommendations.
