Remarks :
I have completed my MBA in Rural Management from KIIT School of Rural Management. Now I am placed in Bandhan Bank. After the completion of my graduation, I chose to pursue rural management in KSRM. Its three vivid internships (experiential learning) in different sectors with reputed host organization make the MBA programme most unique & one of the best among all rural management colleges in the country.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The backbone of KSRM is its faculty members. The faculties of KSRM are highly experienced & educated from different eminent universities which facilitate us to become professionally more responsible. Here teaching is so simple & grasping that a student easily learns the grassroots level of issues & opportunities we've in different professional sectors. The faculties of KSRM stay in their respective workstation even after their working hours to guide & facilitate students in case of any doubts.
Internships Opportunities :
KSRM's unique feature which makes it the best in all country is its 3 internships. ARS - Action Research Segment. CSS - Case Study Segment. MTS - Management Trainee Segment. It has 300 plus partners for internships & placements. I did my internships in the United Nations Development Programme, Access Development & Harsha Trust, who also gives placement to the student. There other organisations like ITC, Technoserve, TATA trust, NDDB, NAFED, RBL fin serve etc. The experiential learning of field segments improves the students' relevant knowledge with appropriate skills in various sectors including microfinance, livelihoods, development, agri-value chain, CSR, sales & marketing, banking etc. Moreover, it helps to get placement easily.
Placement Experience :
For campus placements regular mock GD & PI sessions were conducted. On every saturday Guest faculties were invited who enlighten the student with their grassroot level insights. KSRM has a very strong alumni network who supports the students in their placements. There are specific courses like Innovation in rural development & entrepreneurship which boost the students for start-up. KIIT has its own business incubator known as KIIT TBI. Which nourishes the startup Ideas of student with guidance & financial support.
Campus Life :
The most attractive feature of KSRM is its student-friendly campus with its vast library, a huge infrastructure with smart classrooms. KIIT University has its own KIIT fest where international celebrity comes to perform & KSRM also has its very own student's conclave named Sangati, National Agribusiness conclave, National Rural Management Conclave, Arohan - The annual fest, Subhaarambh - the freshers etc. KSRM has smart classrooms with projector, Central AC, Speakers etc.
Hostel Facilities :
As it is a residential programme so the hostel is compulsory which is included along with the course fee. Food & menu was quite good, which can be changed by students monthly with committee members.
Interview Experience :
It was a 10 membered size GD group with a topic of Rural development & which development a rural manager should prioritize more in decreasing order. For eg. clean water should be available to rural people more priorly than market linkage. The panel of PI consisted of 3 panellists who emphasized on your own educational background, your personality & why you selected this sector.
