The uniqueness of this Institute lies in its training methods that are highly interactive. There is not even a single bad thing that can be brought forward for this college, the life here is amazing & awesome.
Entrance Preview :
There is no entrance exam for the DMC (Diploma in Mass Communication) in this college, you just have to buy a form worth Rs.2000 from the administration block, fill in all the details, attach attested copies of your 12th marksheet & submit the form. Merit list on the basis of 12th marks is being announced & the students having their name in the list can soon go for the next step of admission that is payments of fees & students registration. There wasn't any interview process for this, just get good marks in your 12th clear the merit list n hurray you are into this prestigious college for next 3 years. I came to this college because it has a good reputation, is owned by dainik jagran itself & gives good placements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In the first semester of this course, students go for Community Service project work. This field-work at the grass-root level gives them good experience of interacting with people along with the satisfaction of having done good for the society.On a scale of 10 practical learning will be standing on the mark of 6. Other electives were print journalism, tv journalism, advertising & PR.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes the college provided internships to all the students so as to give the exposure & the feel of real working world, the experience was good & amazing. Students were given a chance to do internships with dainik jagran, NDTV, Khoji Narad, etc. The average stipend given was 7000 Rs.
Placement Experience :
The college has a dedicated placement cell which is in constant touch with leading organizations for each study program so that they can provide the students with the best career options even before the course ends. This year 100% of students who sat for placements got placed, the ones who did not opt to sit for the placements. The major companies that visited the campus were IBN7, Home Shop 18, TCS, etc. The average package offered was 4.5 lakhs with a maximum of 7 lakhs.
College Events :
Yes, annual events were held in the college every year, along with sports & cultural meets where students of our college only took part. They were very big & the crowd was large with an approx headcount of 1300. It was fairly organized by the school management along with the sponsorship from Mohani Tea & Dainik Jagran.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Total course fee for 1 year, including the cost of library, books & other facilities of wifi & computer labs was Rs 60000, as the course was of 3 years duration the total fees payable to college was around 185000.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes the college provides loan to the meritorious students. There were also fee waivers for the students belonging to SC/ST category.
Hostel Facilities :
No hostels on the campus or even outside. various other private PG's are available all around the campus. For a twin shared a room in a PG the amount the owners take vary from 5000-8000 per month & so is the quality of food offered.
Faculty :
All the faculties in the college are highly qualified & possess a doctorate degree, they have many books & research papers published on their names, they have an average experience of more than 7 years with them. The faculty is very helping, caring & interactive, they do guide you at every step & guide you accordingly so that you can be satisfied with the solutions to your problem.
