Campus is not very big. You can't leave the college in between the college times.
The pressure of exams and practical are very terrifying.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is for B.TECH as well as for competitive exams. Portions for the competitive exams are also covered in 4years. Teachers are very helpful and coperative. But sometimes portion is not covered properly in classroom sessions but content is given through google classroom.

Class Size : 88Course Fees : INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

TCS, VIPRO, COGNIZANT are the major mass recruiters which give internship as well as placement based on practical knowledge and exams the conduct. The also prefer the quality of research papers and patent that are approved.

Placement Experience :

Placements are based on the departments and the talent of students. Students become eligible from 3rd year for Placement. About 95% students get placed and rest apply for higher studies. The highest package is Rs 2 Crores.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees for each semester is Rs 85000. College provides scholarship opportunity from various companies. It has personal link with various companies which provide internship and placement. The average stipend for internship is Rs 15000 and the placement amount goes to Rs 1500000 per annum.

Campus Life :

College life is full of assignments and project works. Weekly programs are also organised which include sports and Tech fests. The main aim of the projects and sports are to enhance social and industrial knowledge.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel fees is Rs 100000 per year. Hostel have good environment and amenities. You have to buy your own drinking water. You can't leave the hostel after 7pm. Food is average. They try to provide balanced diet which include good amount of protein and carbohydrates.

Admission :

Admission is down through IEM entrance exam as well as through JEE MAINS and WEBJEE. If you are preparing for JEE MAINS then qualifying for IEM entrance exam is easy. Question level is moderate to hard.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
