Thapar review

Dislikes

  • Strictness: too many Useless rules like you have to come back in the hostel at 8:30. You can’t roam the campus after 8:30 PM. You can only order deliver food before 11 PM
  • They have restricted so many areas and Hostel rooms which are made earlier could be renovated because all the walls have Have been become old and paint is falling off

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have ece branch, as this branch has scope in both private and government sectors i chose this course It also provides good placements in the future All the faculty is required to have done phd to be a professor in thapar The faculty is quite nice Teaching was also good In one class there's about 100-150 students and single professor to teach them There are mid semester and end semester exams And quizes and sessionals are taken before mst and est The passing criteria is pretty simple You have to get 18 marks out of 70 (in combined est and mst ) and 35/100(combing sessional/quizes+lab evaluation +est+mst) Term exams are not very difficult

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is different semester fees for different courses as u go from core to software branches the fees in increased In my ece course My per semester fees is 2,18,900 Admission fees was 23,000 Mess fess is 22,000 And hostel fees depends on your type of room Ac/non ac Single seater /2 seater/three seater Thapar provieds scholarship named mcm You have to fill put the form provided on the site and if u pass all the criterias including your marks and house income you will be given scholarship accordingly

Campus Life :

Thapar College, life is good and enjoyable. The campus is big and there are lots of food shops and all the other necessities like Stationary. The annual fest of Thapar is called saturnalia. Thapar has one of the biggest libraries. The libraries also has all different types of books. The classrooms are also comfortable because they have been rebuilt and renovated. For admission you have to first fill out an application form There is a cutoff regarding jee and boards marks Both of the counsellings are held differently You get a mail according to your merit in jee and boards and they alot you a branch If you are satisfied with the branch you can pay the semester fees and admission fees or u can wait for the next counselling This year four counselling rounds and one spot round was held Cut offs vaired in all the rounds An additional December test is also held for admission in thapar Application form can be found on the wbesite and the portal is opened before your boards exam The application fee is 1500 Reservations for lower castes like sc/st and obc is there 50% reservation is for students who completed there 12th in punjab or someone with punjab domicile Then after that document verification is done after ur admission is completed

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.

The placements are good. A lot of companies like PayTm, Maruti Suzuki, etc come every year and recruit a large number of students. The placement process is of several rounds and tests. There is an Entrepreneur Cell that helps students enhance their skills.
