Campus life us great ,with a big sports ground and a library with a diverse collection of books.
College infrastructure is the best in North campus with new halls and classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I took this subject because it was my preferred optional in State exams like JKPSC exams. Faculty is very helpful and nice , most of them are phds from top foreign or top national universities and the faculti to student ratio is also good. Most of the professors know each student by name. Exams are quite lengthy and tough but everything was taught by professors in college.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 26000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are many internship opportunities and a seperate internship cell within the collge , the main being the VC internship programme which offers opportunity to most of the meritorious students . Other internship opportunities include online internships and company internships

Placement Experience :

Compus placements take place every year with an average package of 8 lakhs per annum. B.com students have almost 100 percent placement. 36.5 lakhs was the highest package this year and 540 plus offers were made.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees in college is quite high considering that it is a government college and not private but still its affordable for most of the students . Various scholarships based on means are given to poor students and one can join other internships to get some stipened.

Campus Life :

Freshers was great, it happened right after exams. Library is great , thousands of books are available at library. Sports ground is also quite large and various sports activities like basketball , foot ball and cricket matches are always taking place

Hostel Facilities :

In hostel a student will have to share room with his roomate, admission is based completely on merit . Hostel is more expensive than the Pgs which offer rooms of same size and there are common washrooms in hostel for a complete wing. Food quality is not that great and the mess fees is very high.

Hostel Fee : INR 101403 per year

Admission :

Admission process smooth and based on CUET merit only, the details of which(like application form, application fees and application dates) were available on NTA website. Admission process can be improved by changing the seat upgradation option in second round. A person should be able to review and change his preference list in 2nd and subsequent rounds

Best college in South campus. Recommended for Maths major

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always excelled in mathematics in school. So, i decided to pursue it for higher studies. You should only choose this course if you want to make a career in mathematics field for example if you want to become a mathematics professor, go into research, become a data scientist or clear exams like JAM, NET, JRF. They do teach softwares like R which is very important but they should include more technologies and coding languages into the course as well. Special mention: if you want to pursue a career in data science i wouldn't recommend this course. I think a computer major would be more helpful.

Ramjas : A "che" to the "mistry"

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested in studying chemistry since school so I opted for this course. The course is well built and designed in order to build your interest in this field. The college provides enough industrial visits to encourage you in the same field and organises sufficient conferences regarding the same. There are no such improvements required in the faculty except a few. Exams used to happen semester wise after every 5 months. We only used to prepare for these, only a few teachers asked us to solve an assignment and nothing much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I gave Entrance and I qualified and I have no option other than this course. Our Faculty is a mixture, as we have to study Physics Chemistry and Mathematics so we have three 3 departments. Student teacher ratio is 10:1. All teachers are PhD Professor. they wrote many books also, their teaching is according to UGC syllabus. they provide notes. There is Semester exam after 6 months and one test in one month of each subject. You have to prepare your notes in a very well way to obtain good marks.
