Course Curriculum Overview :

I opt bcom honours as a course because I am good in accounts and interesting subject for me to built my career for same I opt bcom honours from this reputed college. The staff is well qualified with great experience. practically make students understand every lesson. Term exams are taken very fast so that students can feel the pressure of studies and be regular and punctual

Class Size : 130Course Fees : INR 8650 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are provided under PG course and are best for students I am pursuing ug course so I don't have knowledge of same but I have seen a lot of students happy with internships offered to them and I hope in future I can take the benefit of these too

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees hike I must say is made affordable to students, it also depends on the course but overall fee structure can be high in comparison with other collages of the city but not that much no one can afford. Everyone can afford it and if college provides good courses with the best faculty if it's expensive one will choose to study at the same. NSP is given as financial assistance to students I haven't applied but I am gonna apply as per my friend's opinion good financial assistance is provided

Campus Life :

This college focus a lot towards campus programs and events, chirgish was a business fest in which students participated in folk computation sports championships, A lot of sports activities are provided like badminton, basketball, cricket, table tense, football etc, a lot of social groups are made by students I remember one NSS

Admission :

Eligibility criteria depended on merit bases and all details for the admission process were easily available on the official site of the college. I must say the admission process is very smooth but should concentrate towards counselling students for subjects they are choosing

Actually i was interested in business from starting only. I wanted to do BBA but unfortunately i didnt have good marks in class 12th . So i couldn't get admission in BBA. Bcom was my second preference. So had to do that.

SPMR COLLEGE OF COMMERCE JAMMU - A BRIEF REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

Under UGC B.COM, the subjects like Accounting influenced me to choose this course as I am interested to learn the subject and even the curriculum is good enough to help in learning. The curriculum is also designed in a way to apply the things learned in the course in professional life but not in real life. According to me, the course is well designed except some subjects that have been put in the course such as Hindi, EVS etc. which may not be useful in professional life of student The exams are conducted well before the time. The semester duration is of 6 months. But they take semester end exams within 4 months. The difficulty level is easy to moderate.

Entrance Preview:

I took the CAT and successfully qualified the text. I was motivated to take B.Com due to my interest in the enterprise world and my passion working in the commerce industry.

Placement Experience:

Talking about the placement front, the college has a dedicated placement cell and each year a score of students get placed in various companies like HDFC, HCL, IBM, etc. During my course a total of 15 companies visited the campus for placement and about 20 students were placed, 5 of them in HDFC and Reliance Mutual.
