My experience at AAFT

Dislikes

  • I disliked that the campus size is a bit small for those many students that study here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty here has a lot of experience of the media field. They have their own curriculum with practical and hands on experience of the media field. The assignments provided here are well designed..

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure here remains moreover the same. Per semester fee here is 92000 for Bachelors in Journalism and Mass communication, and comparatively it has a lot more opportunities than other colleges who are even charging more than this.

Campus Life :

Capus life is great. They have a good pantry and the food is great. There are 4 major fests organised in the campus - Literary fest, cinema fest, journalism fest and fashion fest. The campus has many studios, recording rooms, Radio room.

Admission :

It was good, I applied at AAFT in 2023 may. The admission process was really easy, the counselors were really helpful to assisst in the admission process. The campus is good and the opportunities here are great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of my seniors suggested I choose the course. There were 40 students in my class, per semester there were 3 subjects including practicals and 4 faculty members for the BJMC course. The faculty members were masters holders in the same field, and some were PhD. The exams were conducted per semester and the questions were not so difficult nor easy. Faculty members help students with the question pattern and possible questions.

There was multiple placement drives in college but not for BJMC. They don't provide any placement for Journalism students. The highest package was for MBA students 10-12 LPA. Byjus, Deloitte, ICICI, HDFC, decathlon etc but not a single news channel or print media for journalism students. my batchmates are looking for jobs, even my seniors are looking for jobs till now.

Remarks:

No, I don't have any bad remarks at my college. But I would like to say that we should have to be more open up with our faculty members, seniors, and even our classmates because there are still some shy students in my class and some of them had a language problem so they can't put their ideas or thoughts in any events so we must need to solve their problems with a proper solution so they not have to face this type of problems in their future. And even they can easily compete in our society as a well-established person with lots of abilities.
