A Glimpse into the college campus: Navigating the NSUT

Dislikes

  • There is strict regulations about the attendance, although that is a good thing but sometimes make us miss on fun part and activities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course in Computer Science and Engineering because I have a sheer interest in developing things and websites, I love developing creative and interactive interfaces. The faculty is great at NSUT. In the first year there are 90-120 students in each class, some branches like CSE have two sections as well. All the faculties are highly qualified and great in their respective fields. Term exams like mid-semester and end sem happen as provided in the semester curriculum at the start of the semester. Mid-semester exams are held after around 1 month the semester starts.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships opportunities are available to third-year students generally but also particularly for the girls in the second-year. The internships are paid as well as unpaid depending upon the skill set of the student. Though people also seek off campus internships as freelances etc. on their own.

Placement Experience :

Campus placements are great in college. Every year companies come onto the campus and even big tech companies like Google. Internships are also available to third-year students, that happens on campus. Above 80% of students get placed. The median package is 16 lakhs for a B.Tech student.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees at NSUT for B.Tech is around 2.25-2.40 lacs per year. Scholarships are provided to economically backward students. There is an education loan policy at SBI NSUT. Apart from all this, there is also the availability of government scholarship schemes.

Campus Life :

Campus life is amazing. Truly amazing. The annual fest is Moksha which is conducted around March-April. There is also fest Resonanz conducted around September end. Books and Journals are available in the library and they are sufficient for everyone. Classrooms are digitalised. Sports and extra curricular activites are also available. Main sports are - Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Snooker and many more indoor games like chess and carrom. Gym is also fully furnished and is above average. This year NCC scheme was also brought in to the college apart from already existing NSS scheme. Seniors run all kind of societies like tech soc, poetry, dance, music, art, media, etc.

Admission :

I applied for JEE Mains 2023 and got 97.91 %ile in the April attempt. Then I applied for JAC Delhi Counselling and was allotted NSUT CSE in the very first round. I went ahead with it cause it was my dream branch after all. The exam JEE is conducted every year by NTA and all the details regarding it can be found on the website - https://nta.ac.in Every information regarding the colleges under JAC counselling can be found on JAC official website. For the first year, we have to pay 229000 rupees in total out of which 95,000 are to be submitted at the time of registration and the rest to be given before semester 1 starts. Those who can not afford the fees can also avail education loan from the SBI NSUT. At the same time, college also offers scholarships to the needy students. NSUT has a great campus, with amazing sports facilities and the students here are involved in not only tech but all kind of societies that help them improve upon their conversation skills, program managements etc.

The college placement record is superb. The placement was the main reason for me to be part of the college. The college management and placement committee work together to improve the placement quality and standards of the college. The college manages a record of 100% placements. The highest placement offers were around 55 LPA and the average placement record was around 18 LPA. I also received a placement offer of 21 LPA.
